![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | I'm the same way Arnie ![]() I sent a bid on Sedo for the name "LazyDomainer.com". Hope I get it because I've really been a poster child of it. At least I got rid of the TV... Sitting in front of the TV with a laptop pretending to work is not working! ![]() ????: NamePros.com http://www.namepros.com/showthread.php?t=463924

![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | 496 Hasn't grown much since July, although most current users are still visiting the site. I thought a slow economy might be a good time for a marketplace without a $60 minimum when I set BQB up March-May, although it looks like I was wrong in that regard.

![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | Since it appears that you have pulled the plug on the BQB project, does this mean that you will be refunding the $10 you charged people to get verified at BQB?

????: NamePros.com http://www.namepros.com/showthread.php?t=463924 Reece tried to offer us a free marketplace to buy and sell domains where he decided not to charge us for listing or selling. I think the intention is worth much more than the $10 you paid. What if it was a success and you were able to buy and sell many domains through it? You would have saved hundreds of dollars in fees. That's just my opinion anyway.

![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | Hi Guys, I thought I replied to this awhile back but it looks like I didn't... Sorry for keeping you all in the dark. I took some huge losses on non-domaining investments over the past few months and just couldn't afford to keep running a project that wasn't anywhere near break-even. I was hoping BQB would be a good venue for cheaper domains which couldn't be sold on Sedo/Afternic (eg. under $60 asking price), however prices on many of those domains took such a large hit from the time I started BQB (May 2008) to the time I closed it down that there really wasn't much BQB could offer as a marketplace by the time I shut it down. Sales went from $10,000+/month over the first few months to <$100/month by the end. With sales on the platform well under the costs associated with running it, it just didn't make sense imho to keep it going and nobody seemed to be benefiting from it anymore. ????: NamePros.com http://www.namepros.com/showthread.php?t=463924 Bad timing on my part, coming out with it just a couple months before everything headed south in the USA, along with domain prices. I never made getting endusers on BQB a priority and in hindsight, that was a mistake, however I knew I could never compete with Sedo in that area. I really do appreciate all the support many of you gave the project and I wish you all the best in 2009 |

![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | Not too sure. I'll probably develop it into a website at a later date, perhaps a website to showcase some of my developed domains. I really do appreciate all the support so many of you showed the project and it really was something I'm glad we gave a try, even if it didn't work out in the end. There's a lot of people trying to get no commission marketplaces going now, something which was a new concept when I launched BQB, so I'm glad at least the project inspired others to give the idea of a no commission marketplace a try and hopefully the dream will one day be realized that domainers will have a popular auction venue which doesn't charge commission. ????: NamePros.com http://www.namepros.com/showthread.php?t=463924

![]() ![]() ![]() | It's a shame to have to let it go, you put allot of effort into making it a viable option for short name sales and purchases. Although the site is now non-existent you have still gained many new friends and learnt valuable lessons throughout this venture so it has not by all means been a failure. I hope we can see more new site efforts from you in the future Reece I for one really appreciate 4letternoob (now LLLL.com) and I would love to see more.
