I'm going to put 10+ short domains at no reserve each day on BQB moving forward. Bidding starts at just $1 and will feature different short domains from day to day -- 5L.coms, 5N.coms, LLLL.coms, LLLL.nets, L-L-L.coms
Hi Reece,
I've just activated my account. Login. But I couldn't find any button to logout.

Glad to hear it! More exposure from this should trickle down into more exposure for every seller on BQB.
The Catch-22 with new auction sites is that buyers don't want to join because there's nothing to buy and sellers don't want to join because there's nobody to sell to -- this will hopefully solve that problem by providing buyers a reason to come to BQB and sellers with the opportunity to reach out to more buyers.
I activated your account. It generally takes me 2-3 days to activate accounts.
Yeah, business has been quite bad lately and I'm sure is being affected largely by the U.S. economy which is home to about 3/4 of current members. Interestingly, Sedo appears to be having quite good sales results still on domains which I can only guess is both due to their larger buyer base and probably even more likely, their more diversified non-USA buyer base. BQB was going pretty strong until the real panic started to set in around June-July in the USA and hasn't recovered since. BQB still gets about 1500-2500 views per day (was 4000-6000 at peak), so traffic hasn't gone down that much, however sales just aren't happening to near the extent they were previously.
Well I look there sometimes and I see a lot of trash names, or decent names with a starting bid above what I'd consider a fair BIN. So I think that's why no one is buying. I thought it was a place for quality short domains but I don't see any.
I don't think that there has been a lot of effort put in by anyone. Less than 15 referals isn't a lot. If you gave the top 3 small prizes for trying, I think most people would still respect you. You should always have an exit clause.
This could free up some of your money to invest in a more productive way.
I just wanted to apologize for not making a note regarding BQB downtime here. A thread in Domain Discussion was created recently regarding this matter -- everything is okay and BQB should be back up within 2-3 days.
BQB is being migrated to a new server. It's a bit more complicated than moving a normal website and is above my level of comfort and, apparently, the level of comfort of the person I had managing my server. Anyway, I have someone experienced with migrating the software powering BQB now working on getting it restored. Nothing will be lost when functionality is restored. I've been quite busy lately and this has unfortunately caused communication delays which have resulted in the longer than anticipated downtime. No auctions had bids on them at the time BQB was taken down, nor were any premium listings active -- it was decided that this would be a good time to make the move and make sure that as little was affected as possible. My email: reece(at)bqb.com is hosted both through BQB and additionally through DNS Made Easy (as a backup), hence all emails directed to me are being routed through DNS Made Easy to me and I am receiving them. If you'd like to discuss anything related to BQB or just get in contact with me outside Namepros, you're welcome to do so.
Great, it looks like you are back online. I was beginning to wonder if the move to the new server killed the project. Migration can get ugly really fast. Glad to see you made the crossing successfully.
i have an ongoing problem with a site of mine that havent been able to move for months. is your guy who did the move, a/ available? b/ cheap c/ the dogs dangly bits?
