sigh.. okay okay.. I spose it wasn't a nice thing to do.

I was just trying to get the deal off anyway I could.

I know this wasn't the right thing to do, but I really didn't want to make a $400 loss as I'm really low on cash atm.
I just couldn't affort to sell the domain for that.

I've offered some money to make up for wasting his time, but I didn't get any reply to that.

Anything else I could do to make this a bit better?

I second that actually. Definitely would've been much better off selling to mibworld as I don't believe it is worth a huge amount more and it definitely isn't worth ruining your reputation for a few more dollars which is what has happened.

I think the best thing you can do now is personally apologise to both Carlos & Reece as well as offering Carlos a similar name for the price he paid for owew.com like uruh.com that you have advertised in your signature.

Have a second developer helping out now, so improvements should be made even quicker

Changes over the last couple days follow:

I've gotten rid of the "No Image Available" icon and gotten rid of images entirely from the categories section -- images are welcome in the store section still however.

I've added a Recent Sales section to the BQB homepage listing the 30 domains which have sold most recently. A sales archive (previously called "recent sales") containing past sales is still available just underneath on the grey navigation bar.

BQB now lists the time remaining on items in the Popular Auctions section.

Changes being worked on at the moment:

1 - Resolving auctions being removed from being "Watched" when outbid.
2 - Resolving Safari / OS X related issues.
3 - Resolving problems with emails sometimes not going through or ending up in junk folders.

I can't even imagine how much time and heart you've put into this new juggernaut Reece. Hopefully, a few years from now you will be able to sit back and laugh at all the little things that you have had to do to make the majority happy. Maybe the other big auction sites will wonder where 10% of their business went, when BQB, the sleeping giant has awoke.

I was browsing BQB just now the server isn't sending a response, it's just churning. That shouldn't be happening given your server specs.

Possibilities:

1. ISP is messing with the routers.

2. Server has been compromised.

3. Something very poorly coded in the PHP scripts.

4. PHP is leaking session files or similar. See #3.

I'm in the process of deleting 7000 auctions which have closed over the past month from the server. It should be back to normal within 5-10 minutes.

Ah that's a relief. I'll chalk that up to #3 though, if deleting 7k records has that effect.

I will do my cleaning weekly instead of monthly from now on so downtime from this should be at most 5 minutes/week.

hello reece,
thanks for the store, i accidentally hit the 'proceed' buttion on the store prefferences page thinking that the settings were located there. Indoing so I removed the defalt store. Is there a chance you could reinstate the store.
