Hi folks,

Thanks for checking out this thread. Below please find a copy of my portfolio site home page. This site will serve as a blog/portfolio. It will be powered by wordpress/static content. I am still considering a gallery type of deal on the homepage (see http://fabrikade.sg/ ). Let me know what you guys think.

It's very dark and gothic looking for a web designer site, but mostly I'm perplexed by the graphic in the header. Looks like a vampire with his cape extended.

Otherwise, it's neat and orderly but I'm not feeling it. Is your personality showing in this site? If it's about me hiring you, I want to see YOU in the page.

Thanks for your input. It's possible my gamma is turned up high on this monitor. I haven't seen it on other monitors. It may need to be lightened. The 'vampire' is me + some wings, which I just thought was too cool. I think with more content the site will reflect myself a little more. This site will really serve more as a substance and a credibility thing. People will be referred to this from my parent umbrella company, the traffic consisting of mostly people who want to learn more about what makes me tick in a technical sense. You'd be interested to see just how bland of a site design I prefer.

Looks very clean, but as DDC already said, the header image doesn't suit the rest of the clean appearance. compared to the rest, the header appears almost pixelated and doesn't really show what it is. It's almost left to the imagination of the viewer to decide what the header is representing.
Long story short: get a better header, the rest looks great.

I really like the design, very clean. I will have to go with the others on my opinion of the header, not a big fan of it. If you decide the change the header up, keep us posted ;)

Looks like blood now, hehe. Maybe try a different color? Or do you insist on red?

I honestly don't like the angel/vampire thing...reminds me of a gothic teenage girls' poetry blog or something.

I don't overally like the Gothic look though so i might be bias.

guys I dont know what else I can put there... tell me which one you like better now.. I saw it from my work monitor which revealed it was very muddy.
