Travel.TV in Russian

путешествия.tv - Travel.TV in Russian! :)

LBW 04-25-2008 05:10 AM

That's not travel.tv. Travel.tv would be путешествие.tv. At the end of word is е, not я.

you are an idn.tv vacuum cleaner. I like "travel.tv" I personally think it fits the ext. could be that I am in the US and we have a popular tv station called "the travel channel" regardless IMO many people like to watch videos of where they would like to travel.

yandex wordstat: 137322 ( I actually thought it would be higher, check in July/August I bet it is) I think that is when everyone takes vacation (not 100% sure on that though), also yandex doesn't always get the correct grammitical form.

No,
my dictionary translates it as I've said..
http://www.google.lt/search?hl=lt&q...e%C5%A1ka&meta= - for word путешествие.
http://www.google.lt/search?hl=lt&q...e%C5%A1ka&meta= - for word Путешествия.

As you can see, there is about 9 millions more results with my word. ;)

I expected this from you LBW. :D

I have both! :)

путешествия is the plural form, and it is very popular. ;)

Visit Travel.mail.ru to know more! ;)

LBW, I checked your links and it looks like the one with the "e" on the end is used with other words or words like an adjective/adverb. I am not a native speaker, and personally the WRONG grammatical form has cost me at least xxx. If you are a native speaker then I will take your word for it that the "e" is the most popular form.

my question arises from the fact that the one .tv posted seems to be used more by itself. thats all.

How long have you been in domaining?

You not even know a simple search technique to find the keyword popularity.

Now check these URLS:

http://www.google.lt/search?hl=lt&q...e%C5%A1ka&meta=

http://www.google.lt/search?hl=lt&q...e%C5%A1ka&meta=

Now tell me which one is popular?

LBW 04-25-2008 10:22 AM

I'm not arguing which is more popular. I'm saying, that my word is travel. And your word is... Hm. It's hard to say it in english, because english language is complicated. For example:
Travel is one of the best activities.. In this case, word travel is путешествие.
I want travel... In this case, word travel is Путешествия.

As I've said, english is very complicated language, so you won't realize real difference, between these two words. But in russian, lithuanian, or other similar language, there are few difficulties, which english language hasn't. I'm not sayin, that word nутешествия is bad. But it is not real meaning of travel. Russians will realize the difference. Lithuanians will realize the difference, too. But english people - never.

I know the difference man, what I wanted to tell is you did not use the proper search technique to find the popularity. Do not confuse everyone here. :D

LBW 04-25-2008 10:35 AM

As you've seen, I wasn't arguing about the popularity...

You are giving false information in all my threads, and trying to confuse everyone. What's your purpose here? :alien:

NewYorkBum 04-25-2008 10:50 AM

one is plural and the second one is singular. In day to day atmosphere the plural version being used more often when you describe some travel or hiking or stuff like that.
