SkyDomain.Net Reviews and information for SkyDomain.Net |
Didn't take too long. Reseller suspended by Registrar. Just moving all my Domains to this Registrar (appears to be a Reseller) from Netfirms (big but a Reseller, horribly slow; renewal is automatic with no intimation -- only thing they are quick at -- and you only get to know when your credit card statement stares you in the face), PairNIC (certainly not value for money, no privacy feature), and Glob@t (good overnight service, but renewal prices steep). Quick response, good and clean interface (takes two or three visits to get used to, but very easy thereafter), and certainly value for money; best thing is PayPal so the option to renew is with the owner, thank God. Only time will tell how long this lasts. One would hope forever. MY SINCERE AND HEARTFELT APOLOGIES TO ALL THOSE WHO WERE CARRIED AWAY BY MY EFFUSIVE FIRST REVIEW INTO REGISTERING/TRANSFERRING THEIR DOMAINS WITH THIS RESELLER. PLEASE CONTACT THE REGISTRAR TO RETRIEVE YOUR ACCOUNT AND DOMAINS. |
Attention All ! It appears I wrote the Review too early! The Skydomain.net Website is down for quite some time, and I can't access the Control Panel at all to manage my Domains transferred to and registered with them. All I get are Error messages with bland instructions to contact Support. Email requests elicit absolutely no response whatsoever. The address is in Aberdeen, Scotland, but the PayPal payment went to an Indonesian. Could anyone on Namepros.com advise me as to what I should do in these circumstances? I wanted to make changes to the Domain parameters, but am hamstrung by this Registrar's immobility. Please help. Thanks all. Raman |
Attention All ! Hello ashtakshara, Same problem i have faced about skydomain from a week , What should we do then. Thanks All |
Reseller suspended by his Registrar for fraudulent practice. Vanished without trace. Registrar has written to say this Reseller has been suspended and they will not deal with Skydomain.net any longer as they have found it is a fraudulent Reseller Account. I escaped in the nick of time with the Registrar's support. My Domains are intact, thank Heaven. All customers of Skydomain must contact the Registrar. Like the address in Scotland, I think the phone number may also be phony. Henceforth I am going to avoid the well-meaning but grossly erroneous advice on the web to register Domains through Resellers to avail the bulk discount that they pass on to customers. Penny wise and pound foolish I call it, having got bitten. My advice is to find a good ICANN accredited Registrar and stick with him, else you will end up with your Domain being hijacked/stolen. Not all Resellers are bad but they will not have the same commitment nor resources as a Registrar has, and you never know when they will fold up and leave you in the lurch. The only trouble is that the big ones hold your Credit Card details, and it is touch and go for you to prevent a debit to the card. If you forget to tell them a month in advance that you don't want to renew, "poof" goes your money. All said and done, I will take the whole year/two years now at my disposal before the next renewals fall due to research into who is the best registrar. Here is wishing you all luck. Thanks. Raman If You Want Peace Of Mind, Avoid Skydomain.net. |
