Ok well my friend and I have been thinking about opening up an adult website. Now i know servers in the usa dont allow porn or anything like that. So I was wondering where people get there hosting from to host adult websites?

Does he allow it on his server? where are his located at?

There are many adult hosting companies in the US. A few like:
mojohost.com
nationalnet.com
webair.com
cpcyberwurx.com

Just read their legal documents before signing up.

I used webair for awhile and they handle quite a few adult sites.

But lilbballer, if you are in the US, make sure you learn your lessons before you begin the process. There are many laws regarding what you can and can't do and I've seen my share of webmasters say, oh they won't come after me. . . and you can guess the rest.

i asked hostgator.com, and they said they dont mind hosting an adult site as long as there is no child porn or bestiality! is that true?

Im not sure if that is true, but if you asked them it has to be.

there is a free one based in australia...
110mb.com it gives 5gb disk space with 300gb bandwith...

Oh really I will look into them but i will prob need more space, but just to start out at first that free would be good.

Are you looking to put up a basic free site to promote affiliate programs (that's easy) or build your own adult program (that's harder)? Either way, you want to look into 2257 regs. This basically says that you the webmaster have to have photo ID proof that everyone on your site is over 18. If you're pulling content from a large, legit program, you can link to their 2257, but if you're using anything you shot yourself or is questionable that can be an issue.

libballer - you'll need to get proof of ID from each performer on your site if your shooting yourself. US law requires it(and i'd suggest doing it anyway if you dont know the performers) ;).

As for hosting, let me know when you need a fast server, i'm running a dual core 64bit blade server with a couple of gigs of ram on a 100mbit connection over in germany so I could do you a deal.

Ok thanks alot i will let you know if my friend and i decide to do this or not.

There are many hosts in the USA that allows adult hosting...

you might have to tighten your search criteria that's all.
