$3.66 for regular unleaded
Jesse is right, though; we (Americans) should be thankful our gas prices and unemployment aren't as high as they are elsewhere.

$3.40 now. I did pump my car with $0.99 a gallon of gas in 1999. It was gone forever

1 US gallon = 3.78541178 litres (Chose US for this.)
1.19 * 3.79 = 4.5101
4.51 British pounds = 8.90 U.S. dollars
$8.90 for a gallon.

The unemployment rate is in double digits in a single EU state, don't make it sound like the whole place is unemployed.
