ddaybofb 04-17-2008 07:56 AM

im using firefox

jhansen 04-17-2008 08:33 AM

Looks the same (error shows up), Firefox 2.0.0.13.

I believe it's caused by the fact you have:
Code:
<div id="blogroll" class="boxed"> <h2 class="heading">Contact</h2> <div class="content"> <p><strong>Debbie Heavrin</strong></br>34 York St.</br>Hanover, Pa 17331</br>717-465-3241</br><a href="mailto:budsgirl@budsprintedroses.com">budsgirl@budsprintedroses.com</a></p> </div>

When you should have:
Code:
<div id="blogroll" class="boxed"> <h2 class="heading">Contact</h2> <div class="content"> <p><strong>Debbie Heavrin</strong><br />34 York St.<br />Hanover, Pa 17331<br />717-465-3241<br /><a href="mailto:budsgirl@budsprintedroses.com">budsgirl@budsprintedroses.com</a></p> </div>

As defined here:
http://www.w3schools.com/TAGS/tag_br.asp

That should do it!

Oh, and put a space after 'Hurry!' in:
Code:
Hurry!Place your order and be the first in your area to have this one-of-a-kind gift!

:)

Otherwise, looks great! (how the heck do you do that to roses?!)

yeah we thought the br tags were wrong and just dropped the forward slash
i guess that leaves em open but if it still looks like crap ill add the space forward slash....

as far as the roses technique......an ancient chinese secret
lol j/k
its a special printer

ten bux a rose for a lasting memory is golden tho.......

If I'm being honest, your logo and category background images need work. They're not appealing. Also, having Google ads on this kind of site feels a bit cheap and out of place. You're already selling a product... why take away from the look of your site for a few extra pennies?

I like the site's green patterned background, though.

Ok try the new look at http://www.printedroses.com You can click on the giant rose to get to the content, this is only a landing page. The page you are delivered to is not complete with working links but it is under construction for next two days I guess. If you want to skip the landing page go to http://www.printedroses.com/home.

nice design

Jed K 04-19-2008 06:37 PM

Not sure which one I like better. Both are just ok for me.

One thing I'd suggest, though, is to get rid of the thick border around your rose image. It detracts from the overall look of things.

Looks good, but I don't see the adsense ads getting clicked very often placed where they are. Also seems to be a white line from you css jetting across the bottom of the page.

1.your "pricing" page is identical to your home page

2. copyright 2008 text is showing up in the middle of the screen

3. i don't think you need to apologize for not having a shopping cart; just inform how they can order

4. your ordering or landing page doesn't really ask the reader the take action now. text is written in a very passive way.

5. i don't personally like all that white space because my eyes would wonder all over the place; i would frame it and use a light pastel background at minimum.

MyOneSelfer 05-08-2008 01:04 PM

yeah it needs work still and pages are the same as the front home page just so there is a page
ill get to it sometime
time is limited atm

I personally think that the graphic behind the navigation is too blurry.

weblord 05-08-2008 06:53 PM

it's way past 1024 x 768 res. i have to scroll horizontally to see google vertical ad.

bryan1884 05-08-2008 09:17 PM

for the first one: im with what weblord said....i would try to keep it around 800 x 600 to prevent scrolling.

for the second: just my opinion...i dont like the splash page...its not a very good image and it reminds me of watching a movie from the early 90's. I would scrap the splash page.

rkquest 05-09-2008 01:24 AM

For the first one:
What I like about it is the background tile and the color combination. I think it fits your theme quite well. The cons would be the graphics. I think they're a bit low in quality and needs more work.

For the second one:
Drop the splash page idea as mentioned by the previous poster. The layout looks good but you need to optimize your image. Your hover images aren't preloaded too so there's a short delay on hover.
