I've seen bogus sales on both Afternic and Sedo. 100% positive this sale is bogus.

Auto.com is worth $500K at least, probably even a $Million+.

But hey it's fun to dream

Ron

I meant the AUTO.com listing could be them? Maybe just messing around or with a fake account just to get more visitors? And indeed with your bid there it`s working, is not it?

Here is some fun math with Red Rock, and Estibot.com,
and the recent sale of Pizza.com...

So, Estibot values Pizza.com at $590,000
Pizza.com just sold for 2.6 million!

Estibot values Auto.com at $480,000
Auto sells at $10,000!
Should be more like 2 million+!!!
Man, Lorenzo, w/that kinda $$$
you could fly us ALL out there and buy us a beer!

Hope it's yours!

Has noone even checked whois or visited site lol?

It points to cars.com

a/ do you think they would sell for this price?

b/ do you think they would sell for any non-astronomical price to a potential competitor?

i hope it's accurate for you bud, but i wouldn't have posted a thread til i had paid and was in control of domain, sorry to say but is likely same as mu[ppets who list domains they don't own on sedo.

however IF , and its a big if it's legit, you're an overnight millionaire

I can't believe it but I just might have, probably, maybe not, could have happened, hopefully, bought: Auto.com

Good luck Lorenzo.

Lets say for the sake of argument the listing was put there by the company. Lets then say it was an error on the price, or the person who listed it wasn't authorized to do so.... Do they honor the deal?

Good luck with AUTO.com, I think Afternic seems to be a bit of a joke, I placed a bid on a domain when its minimum bid was $150 and the seller just decided to put the price up to $50 000, just some cheap selling techniques..

Not even worth it. A simple claim that the person who posted it for sale did not have the authority to do that would suffice.

I'll take 2!
LOL

and Justin to answer your question...
Even though it was THAT huge of a mistake,
i wouldn't be able to honor that pricetag.
I think you'd just have to deal with your humliation,
and maybe being deleted from that auction house.
That is just too much $$$ to lose, for a stupid mistake.
I know that sounds bad, but, you're talking about a couple
million dollar mistake!
LOL
