Hi,
I have some domains that I want to develope.I have some ideas for what kind of website I want but need your advice and suggesstions. The domains are:
Now my immediate focus is to develope ClinicalFindings ,com. The idea is to make a medical wiki like webhealth-com but after enough members and traffic I want to make earning through ads so is mediawiki good choice for this or should i go for other wiki softwares?can you suggest some ?
Also if i want to make forum on this site then can i use wiki script and forum solution like phpbb at the same domain or not? like mediawiki at main page and phpbb at only ClinicalFindings ,com/forums ?Also what would be better, a wiki solution or forum based solution keeping in mind the ads and earning aspect?Sorry for lots of questions .
TIA
It depends upon the type of information you are going to make available. If it is historical information, such as what Wikipedia offers, there is no issue. But if there is going to be medical advice, then there is going to be major issues. You just have to know what you are going to allow, how you are going to monitor it, and what is legally permissible.

Rich, your concern for medical advice is valid and thank you for pointing that out,but I was thinking more about giving updated info regarding clinical research instead of focusing on medical advice. What are your views on that? And please answer my other queries also regarding forum based approach for this domain or wiki or both(if possible)?
With the proper advisories on your site, I think that a site that keeps track of medical research is within reason. However, I am quite sure you will need to but some cautions on your site, and I do think you need to have legal advice.
Both a Wiki and a forum invite user comment. Comments would have to be well monitored on any medical site. I am not sure what you would need to shield yourself, but I think you can readily understand how comments on a medical site that are beyond certain bounds may invite problems. I have been involved in medical and alternative health forums that are successful, but I am not sure what they do to appropriate protect themselves. Maybe they don't.

My first thought on the medical wiki was the same as richrf, I'd worry about the legal end.
BillingAccounting ,com - obvious name -- reviews of accounting software packages
PersonalTaxShelters ,com - info site with articles about tax shelters. No other choice here.
InterestingDownloads ,com - this could be a user generated content site inviting people to submit their favorite downloads. The most interesting domain (to me) of all the ones you've listed.
PracticeMaths ,com - math questions from every grade level for parents who want their kids to have more practice.
GetRidFast ,com - This sounds like one of those late night TV products. Get Rid Fast, Get's Rid of (insert item) fast! Weightloss, cleaning products, exterminators.
I also agree on the legal concerns of pursuing your idea on ClinicalFindings.com. My suggestion for this is for you to create a website about clinical cases instead. The problem with this suggestion is that you have to do a very extensive research.
About InterestingDownloads.com, my suggestion is a website that reviews the available freewares. Check this website to see what I mean (trivia: this website ranks first in Google in "best freewares" query).
Math questions will also be good for PracticeMaths.com, but I think it will also be good if you try doing a website about tricks on simplifying math problems without doing too much computation.
I still don't have suggestions for the other domain names, but for now i agree with DDC_cyn's suggestions.
Thank you so much guys for your suggestions.DDC_Cyn your ideas are very similar to what I had in my mind. But currently I want to develope clinicalfindings so what can I do to immediatly make it online without the legal concerns? Is there something else I can do with it which does not involves legal advice?Originally I wanted clinicalfindings to be a user generated wiki like webhealth, com, but now with legal concerns what else can I do with it??Also I want to know for developing a user generated site, what is the best way to capture the initial users?
