The social networking site looks great. It's definitely a fresh appearance. However, it melts with what i would see as dating site more than social networking site.

The joke site is rather bland, a bit more color and comedy in form of images would help to transport the concept.

The recipe site - not bad at all.

I think the social networking site is a bit too colorful on the eyes, personally I prefer sites with many white spaces but that's just me :p

And because it's loaded with plenty of graphics, visitors with slower connection might not wait for the full site to load to see if they like it.

My 2 cents.... :)

Added few new features to dostdosti

My only complaint with dostdosti is why do you have to have a female as the centerpiece. Society as it is already makes many women feel horrible about themselves as is. They feel they have to be perfect in every way. I suggest a more conservative logo of some sort. Maybe silhouettes of people.. My .02

IMHO

your social site has kind of a fresh feel to it. But just seems to me like it might be trying a little TOO hard. just seems to be too much going on. Flash & Flare are great when used in moderation. The way the web is headed is towards clean design. Simplistic stage. I think that your site may be heading a little bit too far away from that.

Your joke site on the other hand has just the opposite problem. I think that the sites content looks like it has been forced into the template a bit and doesn't fit. And I think the site itself looks a little too hacky. (no pun intended being a joke site). If I ended up on the site I would click off immediately it just looks a little too hokey. I think it wouldn't take much to clean it up though.

Lastly the recipe site I think is the closest to hitting the mark although it does look a little too plain. It needs the least work.

Dude... Great site (dotdosti) but I think it is way too orange.. I have a 23" apple screen and it lights my whole room orange, I got tired of staring at it for so long. But other than that the only issue I say is the website speed. Look into that because if your website is slow people wont want to wait for it. Im having the same problem right now with my site..

I guess you make it less flashy considering the internet consumers in India.
Also the top banner might scare girls off. It looks more of a dating site design.

And something to note: I noticed the center girl in the white dress, her breast shines! I don't know why. But again might be a design fault or did you make it purposely? (this too might scare a few girls off)

Great looking design there, however it takes forever to load. I personally would take all the flash components out, people don't usually like to wait for these things to load. In my opinion, a site should fully load within 30 seconds on a 64K or above connection.

Too much in your navigation, it confuses me. And I feel not enough emphasis has been put onto it. On the content pages I just got lost while reading your blog pages. Font size needs to be altered (increased) and some line spacing needs to be added.

After a while, the orange becomes a little much.... puts quite a bit of strain on my eyes.

Social networking site is pretty good id give 8/10. The front page is definately lively and attractive.

Now the joking site is the exact opposite of the social networking site lol.... definately too plain and the template looks boring.

Lastly, with the recipe site its sorta in the middle of the two, but a bit on the plain side.

Right, the joke site: It's alright. I've seen better designed joke sites, but I've also seen worse.

The recipe site: Looks great to me. "Cousines" should actually read "Cuisines" ;)
Also, I think the images of the dishes should be clickable links to the relevant pages but otherwise, good job!

The social networking site: Ok, the flashy frontend is all very nice, extremely colourful, and it looks like a lot of work has gone into its design - down to the shimmer on the guys glasses (which is a nice touch), and I am particularly taken with the pretty lady at the front...

However, in my humble opinion, it just seems like overkill considering it's a social networking site.
