Visitor Counter

I know there are probably thousands upon thousands of visitor counters. So to help me cut down my search, does anyone know where I can go to get a cool (cool=minimal but pleasing on the eye) visitor counters? Somewhere which has a large collection, maybe?

You can make one here or
here

I've used the first one for a couple of years,
the second one I found recently on google :)

I tried the first one, but it only gave me an advert to their site without any counter :(

I'd forgotten about Bravenet. I've been a member for a long time. Although they have many nice tools, I kinda went off them because they weren't unobtrusive enough for my taste. I'll take a look at their counter again though.

I also looked up another old service I'd used in the past. www.StatCounter.com. The stat collection was similar to Bravenet, although the counter was pretty basic. I kinda liked the refer stats. I'm using it as a hidden counter until I find something better.

Yes. The absolute best system out there. You can see where the visitors come from, what keywords they used to find your site, how long they stayed on your site, where they are from, what browser they were using, etc, etc, etc and you dont even display a silly hit counter on the page :) It uses javascript so users dont even realize that the counter is there. google.com/analytics You can track all your sites from one account by creating different channels too. Soooo good.. You just have to try it to see what I mean.

Google Analytics is wonderful tool and I highly recommend it. Check out the last line in my sig too for a visitor counter with a twist :)
