Hi,

I have a game related site that I started that caters mostly toward kids. I get a lot of traffic and UV: 55,640 visits 41,081 UV and only $275 per month. I use adsense. I also have CJ but have yet to make a sale after 130,000 impressions. What can I do to make more money with this?

AdSense pays very little for a gaming site. Since you cater to kids, don't expect a lot of sales. Try a CPM affiliate program like ValueClick or Casale.

Give us an idea as to your (approximate since G doesn't allow specific numbers) ctr as well as how many clicks you get and a link so we can review the site and give you at least educated feedback.

Lets suppose the ctr was around 1.5% ;) with around 8,400 clicks per month. What would you suggest for a site like this? I have some related sites with less traffic. Around 10,000 per month. Some of these only have ctr around .5%

Adsense doesn't do well on gaming sites, and CJ won't do anything at all because kids just want to play the games, not signup to affiliate stuff ;)

Try planting key words, in a WHITE HAT way..

example would be:

"Do you like this game? Then you might also like (insert name of a game that is similar too the one they are playing.) Click here to learn more" (show a link to an internal page of a review of YOUR UNIQUELY WRITTEN article describing said game, but built/based around primarily showing adsense ads. (AKA MFA PAGES within your quality, unique site and content.)

This "should" get Adsense to show game ads that are relevant to your site (hence, the white hat methodology) but that will generally pay more than the MFA sites that are apparently currently being shown.

the trick is to get the highest paying keywords in your genre using white hat methods. This would be one way, but I do hope others here can contribute other methods.

If most of your visitors are kids then i don't think you can expect anything from CJ. you are using AdSense image ads or text ads ?

I think you guys are correct CJ is not going to pay for a kids site. The white method described above will not work here either because they don't have much money to spend, if any online. But I have related game sites with an older demographic that I might try it on. They don't have this volume yet.

I have both text and image ads up currently. I just applied a Casale and filled out the contact me form at Valueclick.

I really have no idea what the current per impression pay out is.

MY site hits around 2K Views, 1K Uniques per day but becoz low amount of clicks makes max 10 cent perday,, Arr,, frustrated,,I am a beginner about PPC programs.. Any masters out there that can help to fix this welcomed...

CPM is your best bet at making earnings, try ValueClick or Casale.

Casale rejected my site. I think they don\'t like game related content. I have not heard back from ValueClick.

Daily or what? Also how many pageviews? CPM might make you some more money.

Trampy. I suggest you implement CPM as CharlieA suggested. You would get 1$ + for 1000 views. And implement video ads from adsense or adtoll as kids are more distracted by video ads..
Oops I forgot.. Affilate marketing.. Market games.. I havent used affilates so look around for a deent one.

game/kids site have low payouts...

Why don\'t you sign up to some other CPA networks and look into some email/zip submit forms that can be incentivized? There are plenty of white hat ways to implent this to have people submit their email. Offer something extra and lead people through the email submit form first.

Why dont you sell ad spots on your site like Namepros and other sites do. You would make way more than you are making now. You can even have rotating ads/multiple sponsors. Also selling text links, you can easily get 30$ per link per month.

I don\'t have much traffic coming into my game site, since I cannot afford to advertise it, so I\'m stuck with Adsense hoping for clicks. However, I find that large skyscraper image ads from Adsense do fairly well depending on your keywords, because they advertise things like free playable online games, or those Flash MMORPGs they advertise everywhere. Kids tend to go for those, because I don\'t think they can resist, but as for text ads, they aren\'t looking to read links, they\'re looking for pictures to catch their eyes.
