Searching for "BVI company" the first that comes up is this:

Did they chose this crazy name for SEO? There is no reason to choose this as there are plenty of catchy names available.

Their name is offshore-companies.co.uk and I think they did the subdomain thing to put in keywords in the URL itself.

Yes I think they might have done it for SEO purposes.

i read on other forums that this is just a small part of SEO, strange that they should have such a daft domain just for that.

i have a guess maybe that is something like black hat SEO? Doorway or? Not sure just a guess. As rule such domain names are used for doorways.

Keyword within name itself play important role if all other things are same.
It's been known for long time.

type "llc fast" without quotation mark.
My domain, llcfast.com is on #1

Now, type "fast llc" without quotation mark.
My domain is on next page, #12

Want to try another one?
type in "mind orgasm".
mindorgasm is on #3 with hardly any content.
