· #1 | | NamePros Regular Name: Sam Location: England Join Date: Nov 2005 | Best Hosting For A Forum Looking for reliable hosting for a forum, wont need that much space/bw to start off with but after 6 months it will need upgrading.
But im looking to make a dedicated car forum (as i have just purchased one)
Looking for around £5/month for the moment while its small.
And also, been about 2 years since last time i made one of my many websites, which website is the best/cheapest for domains or has nothing much changed...the usual domainsite.com namecheap.com and godaddy.com?
Thanks, Sam |

· #4 | | NamePros Regular | Well, As this is going to be a brand new site, I would suggest you to go with a small package with a good reputed host.
Don't go for a overselling plan, which offers 10 or 100 times you need. it is often said that you will get for what you pay. So go with one with a decent pay structure. You have a decent budget, so it will not a bog deal to find the ideal one. |

· #8 | | NamePros Regular | Forum software is offered by many companies but I'd like to mention ServerPoint.com services as they are optimized for different applications. |

I use forumotion.com which is just PHPBB2 or PHPBB3 in a lil' free hosting package with no ads, just a few little links to forumotion at the bottom of the index screen. |

· #16 | | NamePros Member | There forums where forum-related issues are discussed (hosting included), ozzu.com, vbulletinfans.com or something... might be a good idea to visit to see what people use for the type of forum you plan to start.
phpbb support is given on any shared plan, while quality vbulleting hosting is provided by hostww.net, siteground.com. |
