That teaches me to stop being sooo cheap now. I put that on my drop catching list (thought no one would grab) to save $3. Nice grab. I keep tellin everyone these are the closest to 3 letters IMO (I-XX or E-XX).

I have about 20 LL-L and L-LL.coms.

I think they are a good investment because they are in limited supply. They have great acronym potential which also allows for more potential end users.

I would not have taken $100 either, I don't think. You made a wise move, IMO.

I agree...I think potential of LL-L and L-LL has been unnoticed from the bulk of domainers. I prefer them to L-L-L big time (but this view is probably not shared from the vast majority and is just a personal taste view... )

I actually think there is no comparison mate.... one character less and is a dash!

Ah, but that extra dash adds balance to the acronym! The asymmetrical nature of L-LL or LL-L implies a meaning to that imbalance.

For example, the imaginary company "Happy Toys, Inc." could easily use the domain H-T-I.com, no problem. However, there's no way they would want to use H-TI.com, as the separation of the "H" throws off their name. They could potentially use HT-I.com, however, since the dash could be seen as a replacement for the comma. A domain like H-TI.com would be better suited for a company going by the name of, say, "Hats & Toys, Inc.," where the dash would be a good replacement for the ampersand. But once again, they could also quite easily use "H-T-I" without problem.

My point is that the universal nature of L-L-L will make them ultimately more valuable than the more specific usefulness of the others.

So I completely and respectfully disagree with you. Which isn't to say I don't own a few of them myself.

i agree. i have xxx LL-L.com too

L-L-L.com are the first choice , proven in eyes of endusers AND domainers, so pretty compelling

however L-LL.com & LL-L.com are the most undervalued domains at minute i have to agree, still amazed not sold out.

imo LL-L.com comes next after L-L-L.com in order of choice, just a personal preference.

At the end of the day there are endusers for all of these all at differing affordability leveels, all are affordable for small businesses or individuals so the future is bright for a healthy profit margin.

Ah but they could use HT-I.com and it makes perfect sense separating the I. I like the ll-c's myself for this reason.

Breast Cancer
LOL thanks for the kind consideration
This are point of views as I do not consider an L-LL unbalanced in any way ...
It also depends from the nature of the achronim.
O-MS or MS-O (online medical surgery or the other way round (will it ever be possible?lol)) looks much better IMO of O-M-S , same with a detached e, i, w (web, world etc) but also with other letters....points of view IMO

Here's some examples of names I picked up

e-gq.com I like this better than egq as it separates e and gq. Grant it, it would be nice to have $ wise. Definitely prefer it over e-g-q.

RX-C.com Now of course I would love rxc.com don;t care too much for r-x-c.com

W-TN.com I picked up several of the TN ending names and it again make perfect sense to me to have the separation. Only wish I would have thought about it earlier and grabbed N-TN.com M-TN.com and K-TN.com and C-TN.com the largest cities in the state

Well yes...I said that above. But my point was that the L-L-L could be used no matter where the hyphen, ampersand, etc., as long as there are three letters in the acronym.

I think the only factual way to compare them is to count the number of developed sites using each kind. That will tell you which has more demand IMHO.

When llll.com was in countdown it was really the only show in town particularly as lll.com prices were out of sight, but now there are choices.....
For l-ll and ll-l.com there are 3 areas of competition which are reasonably accessible:
llll.com second-hand market.
l-l-l.com second-hand market.
llll.net countdown
