I think it is a good idea. Anything to keep the LLLL market going would be helpful. However, it is a big undertake. A lot of work has to be done. I guess first you should get a sense of who will participate and how we will draw buyers to such live auction. There is no point in selling it between us few fellow LLLL lovers.

Yes. That is a very big part of it. I know a lot of you have blogs. Posting a little bit to promote would probably help if any of you are willing.

I have ran several $x,xxx-xx,xxx online auctions before. I can handle it. But I have never done a domain name auction before.

I like the idea and would be happy to post info about it on 4 Letter Noob when we have more details sorted out :)

Alright, I PM'ed RJ and asked him about using the chatroom here. I am thinking that maybe March 22nd would be the best date. I will be putting on 2 real estate auctions the previous 2 Saturdays. Or do we want to do a different dat of the week. I want some input from you guys. :)

I'd be happy to put an article about it and a list of the names on 4LTR.org.

I like the idea, time sounds good. Question, Is this a one time thing or is your intention to have llll auctions either here or on a site on a continued basis, weekly monthly bi-monthly ect...?

Depending on how it goes... I was thinking Quarterly (every 3 months).

But you never know. We'll see how the first one goes, then we'll cross the timeline bridge. :D

@4ltr & Reece: That would be great guys. :)

I've been talking to RJ. He said it would be fine.

The auction will officially be held on March 22nd.

The "LLLL.com Exclusive Live Auction" is final. It will be held on March 22nd at 3PM EST (GMT-5).

I have decided to allow 100 lots. The following will probably be the maximum number of LLLL.com's per category (but this will most likely change as time passes by):

30 Triple Premiums
25 Quad Premiums
20 Non-Premiums
10 CvCv.com's
10 VcVc.com's
5 Bulk Lots

But please submit all of the domain names you want to sell. Just tell me if you want them to be sold bulk or individually.

For the time being (until I set up a site for you guys to submit your domain names) you can PM me with the information I need.

To sell your LLLL.com's please send me the following information about the name(s) you are selling:

Name:
Registrar:
Expiration:
Description (If any, this doesn't matter unless you want to utilize it.):
Payment Options:

Reserve is gone and we are going to impend a buyout clause instead. The clause is 20% with a $5 cap.

Also, Bidders with 0 trader rating must complete payment on a winning auction before bidding again.

I will post a final sheet of the domains we will be selling after I get enough domains to fill the auction, or when I see fit to do so. :)

I have no problem being the auctioneer, but if someone really wants to do it, feel free to contact me. If anyone has any questions, please contact me.

If I have forgot anything, please contact me.

With Integrity,
Ty Maier

Excellent idea

Great idea! One question/concern.. Will there be some sort of bidding/payment policy in place for new members with little or no TR? Or will this be worked out between bidder and seller? I'm just thinking about the recent scams that have hit the LLLL.com buyers/sellers on the forums.

Malaysia 02-29-2008 11:13 AM

Submit your names and you will be accepted. Later on I might have to slow it down for more quality domains though. :)

BTW, our first 10 domains have been filled, including multiple CVCV.com's.
