Wanna ask the community about such thing as unlimited MySQL databases. MMHosting.com offers this fearute in their package plan - NETbasic plan.
Is that possible at all?
Thanks in advance.
Hosts can offer unlimited MySQL databases as server usage only comes down to the size of the database (affecting your quota) and the frequency of the databases use (affects CPU and RAM usage).
So actually if you had 100 mysql databases that were 25mb size and high frequency use, then the host would suspend you for high cpu/ram usage most likely.
Joe summed it up pretty well. In theory it works much like unlimited hosting, but it's generally less harmful because most only use a few at most and you can theoretically use an unlimited amount until you're using up too much in the way of resources. On top of that, unlike unlimited hosting, it really has caught on as an expected norm to have unlimited MySQL databases these days. It's hard to explain to many that 10 databases are more than they'll probably ever need.

To OP. If the offer that it means that is possible... Why not?
But if you need exact as much as they offer I would recomend contact them first to clarify everything around.

That package plan from MMHosting.com seem quite nice for me. It looks O'k. I haven't seen anything strange in it. Does this company provides any coupons on their services?
