Should i take this college program?
This is a 1 year web design program at a private college (herzing). it includes :
html, xhtml, css, javascrpit, photshop, dreamwearver, flash, e-business, and adobe illustrator. the thing is this program will cost 10k, but i get a college degree and a job after finishing.
i was wondering if its worth it to pay 10k for that? cause i know those stuff i can probably learn them on my own.
thx

Depends if you wouldn't mind doing that for an occupation or would you rather it a hobby?

if you're a quick learner then learn on your own.

10k is way too much. You could get an associate in Business or programming from a county college for that kind of money and still have some left over.
Photoshop, css, dreamweaver etc aren't where the money is and you can pick them up with a good manual.

It's so expensive, you can learn all that online or grab a second hand book and keep most of the money.

10K is way too much! I have learned from that mistake by paying well more than that for an Associate's degree in electronics.
There is a wealth of information on the net right now for self teaching.
I would consider a local community college or maybe purchase some good books on web design.
Unless the job afterwards is guaranteed (and pays well), I would not do it. That's my 2¢.

Do a business or programming degree at a county college and learn the html etc yourself.
Sometimes you can find a class for a few hundred if you are in a big city at a computer institute.

you might pay 10k and find out you hate it. get a beginners book and if after a few "hello worlds" you feel the same way - go for it.

Well if that could be of great help to you in the future, go for it. Employers, do usually employ people not because of experience but school where they came from..sad but true
If you're penny wise and resourceful enough, you can use that 10k for some other profit ventures.

Here's the thing...in the real world, employers aren't going to care that you went to design school...they'll just want to see your portfolio most of the time.
You're better off learning on your own...but a piece of paper couldn't hurt...though, 10k is a little steep for a piece of paper.
