subdomain issue with parked domain

Hello everyone,

let me first list my scenario.

I am currently using a info domain. : anantshri.info

i am having some subdomains configured on it also.

now i have also purchased its .com part i.e. anantshri.com

now i wanted to use same hosting and get visit's from both domains.

I know that is easily possible with Domain parking, or redirection, but i
wanted to know that how can i make

blog.anantshri.com to open blog.anantshri.info

in short how can make subdomain's as common for both domains.

not sure that cpanel can do this, however apache certainly can - ask your webhost if they will make httpd.conf changes for you.

Yeah, I won't think it can be done from Cpanel.
So basically you want anantshri.com parked on anantshri.info and again the subdomain blog.anantshri.com to be parked on blog.anantshri.info. right?

This will need to be done manually in the apache configuration file. Or you should use htaccess rules instead of parked domain. Unpark .com from .info and htaccess rules for redirection.

Dont create the subdomain "blog.anantshri.info" under the domain "anantshri.info", Go to WHM and create a new account with "blog.anantshri.info" and under that you can try adding "blog.anantshri.com" as park domain which should work fine. Also note, make sure you create seperate Cpanel accounts from your whm with these domains "anantshri.info" and "anantshri.com", so that WHM can generate your Zone entries for subdomains like "blog."

Let me know if you need more help :)

thank you everyone for your help

well i got it done, but with a different approach.

I used anantshri.info as main domain.
and parked anantshri.com on it.

Coz anantshri.info was older one and much linked.

then i made sub-domain like blog.anantshri.info & blog.anantshri.com and bothe shared same directory.

and now my redirection work perfectly.

Admin problem solved please close the thread.
