An Amazing Weightloss Story

Quote:
David Smith was 630 pounds in 2003 and decided to change his life by going through only carb cycling for weight loss. Now 2007, he weighs at a stunning 229 pounds, losing 401 pounds but still has excess skin on his body. He underwent several surgeries to remove the excess skin and after that he looks just like any other normal guy. Definitely an inspiration for a lot of the unhappy souls out there.

(Contains images of surgery, blood and stitches.)

Definitely commendable.

So there's hope for me yet ;)

Surgery is kinda extreme though, don't you think?

I'd rather live with my beer belly (s)

The surgery was for the loose skin. If you ever drop tons of weight you still are left with the skin from your original weight.

This story has been making the rounds awhile.. I'd seen those pics months back it seems. Congrats tho.. chances are he'll live alot longer and I'm certain he feels better about himself.

Geez, I'd like to lose 50 pounds to get back down to my fighting weight ;) Just hard to pass up those twice weekly trips to the buffet! :D

this is one good alert call for me, im almost couch potato but not that big, i still have hope but not thru surgery i need to exercise and diet.
3 times a week would do for me.

dezinerite 01-31-2008 09:41 AM

Almost hard to believe. :D Although I'd really like to know if there are scars left after the surgery...

That's the thing with many webmasters and computer gurus Weblord, especially those spending almost all day online. :D In my case, if I spend all day in front of the PC I end up eating all the snacks/junk foods I have. I have to constantly stock up!

A great story and no laughing matter. I for one needs to get my butt off this computer at times and I'm sure it goes for millions more for spending too much time online and not excercising. I commend David on his great success.

wow! what a great motivation to loose weight.

SSandecki 01-31-2008 10:49 AM

Well, I always try to keep heathly, a great trick is to get a tread mill that is easily moveable from the closet to the living room, I can watch entire TV shows and movies while brisk walking or full speed running :D

dezinerite 01-31-2008 11:23 AM

Someone should invent a special chair with pedals for people who sit all day long. In many cases, sitting in front of the PC or a desk is how many earn their living so they don't really have much choice.

labrocca 01-31-2008 12:30 PM

What the!

commes 01-31-2008 05:38 PM

How is that possible!

Mac Donald's Big Mac

It was very simple for him to loss all this pounds simply by stopping to eat Mac Donald's Big Mac! :)
