Html 5 ? Hiya, I was wondering if you guys know about HTML 5, and/or when it will be available for use by people. I am really excited to get into HTML 5, so please let me know if you have any insight of HTML 5 ;) Yours truely  |
I don't see what's so good about it - like CSS2, and XHTML, it will take a long time for browsers to support it (mostly) correctly. |
You can find some information here: http://www.w3.org/TR/2008/WD-html5-diff-20080122/ and here: http://www.whatwg.org/specs/web-apps/current-work/ |
HTML 5 is sure change the way we (web designers / developers) make sites, it has many new features tags, API's, that look pretty cool as said by the WHATWG team XHTML made a good impact on the industry when it was released so i am quite sure that HTML 5 will also dominate the industry, i surely can't to use it i hope the browsers are able to support it sooner.. Who would be the first to support it? :o i can only guess of 2 browsers that might do the job well .. Mozilla's Firefox and Microsoft's IE.. i don't why but i'm getting a feeling that Internet Explorer will be the first to support it (maybe with alot of bugs) but it will :) |
XHTML 2.0 will be > HTML 5 |
I really haven't heard all that much about the features, but I haven't looked it up much either. I suppose like the others it will improve upon the foundations of what we already have. I'm definitely a fan of XHTML, though. |
i thought that once xhtml was born, html basically stopped going. i'm all about the xhtml all the way as it actually has some kind of validation required. for html, as long as it displays more or less what you want it "passes", lol. |
