custom fonts (hindi or other ttf)
 

Hi,

how can i display other fonts. on my site. forexample. Hindi fonts.
there are variety of fonts available but we can't use them.
i've tried addin it in dreamweaver, creating page and uploaded at server. there it works because the font is already installed in my pc. but not on other pcs.

How this can be done..!

either on linux or windows or both.

I remember researching this...

If I am not mistaken... a user can't see fonts that they don't have installed on their computer...

That was a while back ago though...

If this is still the case... Save your text as an image then upload it to wherever you want it to be viewed.

Maybe someone has a better way though?

1. You need to use UTF8 for db - this is required for internationalized fonts.

2. You need to allow users to download and use the font - this will need some research but is not very difficult.

3. Use one of the standard fonts rather than a custom one.
