How should I optimize my forums?

I just converted my forums from MyBB to IPB, and installed a few mods. I was gonna try a SEO install, but that failed miserably. Does anyone know of good places to market my forums?

There are many places to market your forums, I'd say this forum would be one of the best.
Start by posting around [not spamming] on forums that are relevant to yours, get a generally active member base and then start asking them to refer, of course offer a little incentive to encourage your members to partake.

Send direct emails to those people who provides and has the same project like yours. Put all your valid infos. on it so it won't be considered as spam. Try to make articles and post it on the net so people could see.
