How to get PR 6 in one month - Scam?
 

I found this ebook on eBay:

I am highly suspicious but almost bought it to see what it said, has anyone ever heard of it or have any idea what their technique is? Obviously no one can guarantee PR change in one month, just because of the time between updates, but maybe they have some other great idea?

I had forgotten about this until I saw that this thread keeps getting bumped. I went to the eBay sellers list of items for sale and he was selling this eBook again, but for .99 this time, I figured I might as well see what he had to say as this thread seems to interest quite a few people.

Anyway: the eBook (if you can call it an eBook - was just a three page long PDF) basically tells you to go submit your site to netscape.com, and if you get to the main page right before a PR update you will get a PR 8 link that will in turn make you PR6. Complete bunk. It could not have been more useless.

Just thought I would satisfy everyone's (including myself) curiosity.

Personally I am very wary of unrealistic claims like that. To get a PR6 using conventional methods I think would be almost impossible. The only way I know of doing anywhere near it is using black hat techniques that have been known about for some time.

When something that good is achieved that easily then there is always some foul play involved.

If you get a few legit PR 7-8 one way links doesn't that pretty much guarantee PR6?

I doubt getting just a few PR 7 or 8 links would get you a PR 6 anyway it certainly would not get you a PR 6 within 1 month.

I am not sure if that is possible with legitimate process. I still dont't think it is possible with black hats. But my curiosity is getting higher to get that book. I will try to find any reviews for that book maybe in some forums.

I completely agree about not getting it in one month, LOL. Thanks for the input.

Google doesn't release pr update info and and can last many months (like the last update). Although theoretically a site can generate a high pagerank if the pr snapshot was taken during the week/month, to make a claim like that just borders on ridiculous.

Then again, the only real way to find out is to try it out, particularly since it's interesting the seller has 100% feedback.

Unfortunately that is how most ebooks sell. They make a completely ridiculous claim. People will either buy it out of curiosity or they know no better.

The 100% positive feedback could be attributed by the fact that most people leave feedback when they receive an item not after they have tried/read it.

i already know how to get a pr6 - get lots of backlinks from other high pr sites in my niche. :)

True, and the price $12 was low enough (unlike others costing $40 and upwards) that people just might be more willing to part with their money to try it out, and maybe that was the whole moneymaking tactic.

Hi all, it is possible with massive viral link baiting,

I think about auctionads.com and seoworldchampionship.com in the last year that both pulled a pr6 straight off the bat, both had over 200000 links in under a month though

It's possible, but highly unlikely. Ebooks usually don't do justice to their wild claims. But maybe you got lucky? Been seeing good results yet?

Get some pr 8 ,9 links quickly.Your sites will get pr automatically.

but this is only one factor that is involved in getting whatever pr you need usually add 1 to it, but easier said than done.

usually it will take some form of payment or a unique content that will convince higher pr to link back to your content.

Don't waste your time with that book, in order to get a high PR you need to submit to a lots of links.
and these days PR is useless

Its impossible to get PR6 in one month. You won't even be out of the sandbox that fast.

No way getting in a month as updatetake place at 3 months intervals

on hard work you may achive pr6 in that time

I have no idea how to reach PR6 in few month and for how long will have it? ;)

It is just domaining version of the classic Howto MakeMoney scam
