NetSol scammed me many times before when I was a rookie web designer, but I didn't know that they would go that low. And all that "customer protection" talk is all excuses to get more money out of people. NetSol is legal "Cybersquatter'' themselves. Shame on you!
Sadly no, this fine domain is fully up and running.
Will have to keep an eye on it, do you think they'll drop it? Or perhaps register all possible possible alternatives thereof and actually keep them - just in case ...
Imagine if you could run a PPC advert for "Cars" - You send the visitor to your dealership, while at your dealership choosing the car they like - you force a lockdown on all other dealerships in the world for 4 days on every single car they've looked at, giving yourself a 4 day monopoly (the average buyer doesn't know this though, so they'll think you're their only option).
Improves the odds of a sale tremendously, until the gov't comes knocking.
ICANN needs to pull their head out of NetSols ass.
Other registrars need to speak out against this sort of practice!
I see this as nothing other than a monopoly of registrar services for the unfortunate few that don't know better - it needs to be stopped.

I just found out aboutt his now and wow. I even tried it for myself. I couldnt believe my eyes. SDFGDSFHFSGHFGHGHF.com is taken at all registrars except for netsol. And that domain was available before i did a netsol search. This is terrible!
This is a really touchy situation at this point and from what i have read NetSol might be getting in to a lot of trouble and may be shut down. No good for them!
Or, 'Search Squatting'. Perhaps rename the company 'Search Squat'. Holding the name for 4 days only for the searcher would be ok. Holding the name for anybody at a premium is just a 'search squat' imo.
Hi my name is Shashi Bellamkonda and I work for Network Solutions. Wanted to give you our side of this subject. This measure is geared for our customers. It gives them a chance to look for domains consider if it’s what they want and then have an opportunity to register it.
Network Solutions is not front running. “ Front Runners” are people who register domain names known to have been searched, for the purpose of monetizing them and then selling them at inflated prices either directly to the customer who searched for the domain or through aftermarket channels.
We have started protecting all domain name searches at Network Solutions by holding the searched domains for our customers for a short period of time before releasing them. This gives our customers the opportunity to register names later without fear that the name will be registered by a “Front Runner.”
We are not monetizing these domains, nor do we intend to keep them after the holding period.
We did this because we heard customers complain that queried domain names are being snatched up by other people as soon as they searched. Network Solutions makes sure its search data is secure and we do not sell it any third party. I know that Network Solutions has no intention of keeping any searched domain or monetizing it.
So if "John Q Public" performs a search for his Branded business name on Netsol, And then notices your prices are higher than those he's seen advertised on tv/online ... You feel you have the right to hold his "Branded Name" for 4 or 5 days ? And this is a Service for your customers ? Not allowing them to register the domain elsewhere ?
And also - Whats to stop his "branded name" from being grabbed up by a Taster afterwards ?
I feel this is yet another blemish on The entire industry .... Another reason for "Mom and Pop on Mainstreet" to think this industry is nothing but cybersquatters.
