the truth about the adsense tracking

I list all of my urls in adsense and still the tracking is off. half of the urls is not showing any information like impressions and so on, but when you go to the website it shows all my hits, impressions its a shame i feel as long as you have your pub id adsense should be able to track all information if your urls is not tracked you dont get paid

Perhaps the ads are showing public service announcement for some reason? This has happened to me and results in the impressions not being counted in your account summary. Hope this helps.

I am willing to bet you don't have the "channels" correct.

i have put all url channels in and activated them some of the channels are showing and some are not sure i'm the only one going through this

Quick Question for the pros....

In Google Adsense, if I have the following option slected:
Allow any site to show ads for my account
Do I still have to keep a track of my allowed sites, also what is the hamr in just letting any site show my adsense?

You have to make very sure that your channels are setup correctly on your website as well as on adsense site.

In the code, you need to make sure it has your channel number code, not the name of the channel. If you don't have that it won't track. Period.

SMB, that is the correct choice. Leave it be and all will work fine. No need to track anything.

The misled you.

If you only have one website, then it is fine to not use channels. If you multiple sites, the only way to know which are doing what is to have channels.

marbles21 01-21-2008 03:55 PM

Cool I have a lot of websites, as long is my pub-id is in I'm getting paid they should try doing research on their channel formats or how the way it is set up. its not right its just some channels pick up and some don't. what I did find out is if it is 100% revenue share the channels will pick up fast when its not 100% share some channels don't come in.

happyhappy 01-21-2008 05:50 PM

You also want to track for yourself. There are some nasty ppl out there that will get into a server... and add their own ID to make things worse for you :(

I have one website (My day job) for many years with adsense. Now I am a newbie in domains. I signed up to whypark, how if relevant can I track the earnings from the sites (45) on whypark without mixing them with my day job site. I have l;ooked into channels and I still do not get it how to do it. Might sound a silly question for you pros, but please bear in mind I am a newbie without technical knowledge - HELP
