flash template question

Ok, so I have purchased a flash template. But how can I edit the swf file. I mean personalize it. The text in this swf is english, but I want to use it in another language... thnks..

it depends how the file is made

you can not edit .swfs, you need to edit the .fla. to do this, you need Adobe Flash.

however, if the site uses XML to input data, you can just edit the correct XML files.

If you have the swf file and you want to edit it , search on google "swf fla compiler" and compile the .swf file into an .fla file so you can edit it .

To sum up the above two posts:

1. You need an FLA file. If you bought the template, you absolutely should have received the FLA file..it's quite standard for it to be packaged along. But, as iulianh said, you could a compiler. Here's a link with quite a bit of them:
http://www.1000files.com/free/fla-compiler.html

2. You need a Flash editor. There's more than one on the market, but the only professional choice would be Abobe Flash

3. Very few flash templates are sold with a .XML file, which most of the time is used for easy editing of the text on the page, which would be perfect for your needs since you only need to translate it. So, check around for the .XML.

Hope this helps a bit. :)
