I ask a good bit (maybe quite overpriced) for some names, but I don't think he is going to get a single sale at those prices

This is not a plug (or at least not intended as such) I just really don't see why these quad prem LLLL.nets have not all been bought up. At $10 per it seems like one H3LL of a deal. I loaded up on them (hand-regs) the last day of the buyout or these would be gone now.
????: NamePros.com http://www.namepros.com/short-domain-discussion/408627-official-llll-net-sales-report-discussion.html

I guess the bulk requirement deters small buyers. But it seems like some buyers are spending more for similar and less quality names buying up 1 or 2 at a time. It's gotta mean that minimum wholesale for quad prem LLLL.nets is still below $10 (tho I do see people spending more for them elsewhere ... )

I've been watching the thread with some disbelief, going day after day w/no (apparent) sales. I thought I might list some of mine ... but no point if these aren't moving.

Reece has a disadvantage... with his apparent "god" status to some of the n00bs (no offense to anyone) they think "If reese is selling them, there is a reason" And they would be partially right. Reece I am sure has checked these names, they are the "lowest quality" of the premiums.

Not one has a vowel at all, good luck finding sellable acronyms for half of those

I know. I 'd too as I watched it go. I have called a moratorium on buying until I get organized again (the columns of my excel spreadsheet somehow got misalligned and now all my info is screuued) and maybe get a few sold.

Anyway, yeah sure, a premium for $10 is a deal no matter what, especially for those that have patience and are not determined to flip it the next day; that said, the domain industry has become obsessed with next day sales
Case in point? check: http://forums.digitalpoint.com/showp...99&postcount=9
Poor fellow registered those domains two weeks ago and is looking for $75 each?!?! someone might want to tell him there is a reason they weren't registered before.

I don't know, the argument you make could just as easily be flipped: Reece is a trusted and respected reseller. I think most noobs would feel more confident they were not getting ripped off buying from him then buying from someone with less reputation here. That said, I don't think a lot of noobs are making bulk deals anyway ~ certainly they shouldn't be if they aren't able to determine for themselves whether or not it's a worthwhile deal
????: NamePros.com http://www.namepros.com/showthread.php?t=408627

Also, it isn't all driven by finding endusers (ie, "sellable acronyms"). A huge portion of the money made in this industry is in the reseller market (much like the stock market). When the best quad prems are selling (to resellers) for min $50 - which many see happening by the end of the year - the worst quad prems will surely be fetching half that or more, imho.

Currently the worst quad prem LLLL.coms are selling for min $350 and up. Ten percent of that is $35. The 10% rule does not of course determine LLLL.net value (only the market can do that) ... but I think quad prem LLLL.nets are greatly undervalued in general right now ... and any quad prem for $10 is an absolute steal ...

They are a great investment, no doubt, I just don't see enough long term investors that are interested in the lower quality quad premiums.

I might not see enough end users for low quality .nets, but not quad premiums, and this rule applies to the next 2-3 years only after that, when all the LLLL.nets are bought out we'll immediately see low end quality QZXY.net selling for $10 and the rest jumping over 3 digits.

3 digits is a tad too optimistic. I'd say $75 would be a reasonable price to expect immediately after the buyout but overall, good analysis.
