Does Adsense pay less for Asia clicks?

I was reading a forum from 2005 that stated Adsense didnt pay much for asia clicks. Is this still true today?

the amount adsense pays to publishers is very much associated with how much advertisers are bidding for those terms.

if advertisers don't care much for asian traffic and aren't trying to sell to them, then they will spend considerably less on advertising to them.

and yes, for the most part, advertisers are more interested in traffic from english-speaking countries than asian countries.

actually, if you look at those 'high paying keywords' like dui attorney, vehicle donations, blah. It only applies to those in US. if you were to search those words in google, you will get mostly fake topsites which consists of mostly ads. they pay very little.

so, yah. asia traffic does pay less compared to western traffic. hope that helps.:)

Adsense pays on demand and how much advertisers are willing to pay in certain countries. In other words you are more likely to get paid for higher clicks from US visitors than a place where there is not as many advertisers plus the cost of living is different.

It also depends where in Asia the clicks are coming from. In China you would be lucky to get over 5 cents. There is a lot of click fraud in some Asian countries and this also has an impact.

The other thing is many Asian countries are not accustomed to buying things on their credit card or signing up to stuff, so the conversion rates can be quite low.

Yes it is true, but it depends on which 'Asian' country you are talking about.
clicks from thailand are going to be much lower than Japan. It goes with any country, the value of the currency is a good indicator of the cpc's

uh no.

the thai baht is worth more than the japanese yen. value of currency is a very poor indicator because governments can and do artificially deflate their currencies (as is the case with japan).

Advertisers pay less, so Adsense pays less
