I hate .net , I prefer .info to .net

I regged 2 CVCV.net just because they were finishing.

But then yestarday "scanning" EBAY I noticed that Yofie (James) has sold a CVCV.net for $169.......(buy now price).

That made me think.

And now I`m perplexed.

Ah..

Good VCVC.infos are probably a pretty safe investment if you go about getting them @ $1.99..

I don't really know which is better tbh.. .net might be a better extension, but the gap seems to be closing and the price difference is pretty large. Long term, I think VCVC.nets are a better investment, but for < 1 year flips, it might be best to go with the .infos...

I`m stocked with about 60 Premium CVCV.info , sold 3 so far for a total of $360

But .net ......it`s looks really ugly to me. It`s a second best.....second to .com while .info has its target.

Whether domainers will choose to buy more a VCVC or a CVCV.net rather than an ugly .com is a question mark.

I still think that endusers will want .com , period.

Looks like quite a few of you are already regging alot of LLLL.nets Now really is the time to get those good names that'll be worth something if this takes off... I don't have many myself and tbh, made this thread more to guage interest levels than spur hype, although I'm definitely going to have to consider getting a couple hundred or so "just in case"

ps. I would better invest into premium LLLL.net rather than into ugly VCVC.net like UHOZ, IQAF, UFUJ etc. Premium LLLL.net would be great for end-users because it's a cheap alternative to LLLL.com which will be sold for mid $XXXX - low $XXXXX to end-users in future. If you look for brandable CVCV then I think .info will be better. I saw a lot of developed sites at beautiful CVCV.infos

500 premium .NETs in to the vault and 500 .COMs will be out from the vault.

I've been trying to figure out what would weigh more in a few years. Premium LLLL.net vs. crappy LLLL.com (i.e. OHAG .net vs. XQJZ .com)

I think someone figure something out.

Something getting value only after it's totally taken. Once all premium LLLL.net are taken they will go up in price.

Due to the fact that there is no longer have supply in the .COM barrel and plenty more in the .NET barrel.
????: NamePros.com http://www.namepros.com/showthread.php?t=403871

Supply and Demand:
Supply scarcity (LLLL.com) will attract more buyer and will pay more for a higher price while supply surplus (LLLL.net) will not attract as much buyer and will pay less.

In addition what's true today may not be true tomorrow.

I think you did not understand me.

I am talking in general. Have a look at the daily sales of SEDO , Afternic , TDNAM , Ebay , Pool , Snap , NameJet.
How many .com sell ?
How many .net ?

Regardless of the lenght, I think that every 100 .com sold there is only 5 .net in average.

And, what the naysayers of LLLL.com would say about LLLL.net ?

Surely you may win the lottery = find a .net enduser but I don`t think many domainers will jump on .net whiole .com is the winning horse.

It's true if we compare the .COM sales vs. .NET sales in general you are absolutely correct but if I'm not mistaken this is LLLL.net thread and should remain as LLLL.net discussion IMO.

Don`t you think it`s a relevant warning the .net do not sell much to endusers?

Premium LLLL.NETs more for me to choose from, thanks.

Last 6 months i have sold several LLLL.NET to endusers
from between middle $$$ to low $$$$ so there is buyers
for these NET's but most of the sales you don't hear about.

Some of these buyers i have had was asking the owner of .com for
price since they wanteded .com but the sellers wanteded a much to
high price and when they could get the .NET from me for about 7 to 8
times lower price they bought the .NET from me instead.

Need not to do that Lorenzo. Your input is much appreciated.

To be honest I'm not really a big fan of the .NET and in fact 90% of my portfolio is .COM, 5% hack, and the rest of 5% ccTLD but I i will give this one an exception.

Most sales come from them checking the whois and then sending me a email
????: NamePros.com http://www.namepros.com/showthread.php?t=403871
and asking if the name was for sale.

But some sales i got from the link on the parked names: Enquire about this domain

Why does this remind me of a pyramid scheme.

The people at the top buy all the choicest domains first then comment in threads like this saying they are buying more and at the same time start selling them for double the reg fee to people who don't know any better and happened to stumble onto this thread.

If you register 4 letter .nets you'll only make money off other domainers, not end users.

One of the larger .mobi investors sold an L-L.mobi for $5k awhile back... Sometimes endusers don't think the way we do. And even if there were no endusers (which there most certainly are, as Johnny has elucidated), what's wrong with selling to domainers for a profit (just like most triple bad letter LLL.coms will forever do)?

This isn't a pyramid scheme... The thread author (me) doesn't even own 10 LLLL.nets yet, so please don't go there without getting the facts straight.
