Well considering that all the premiums are gone yesterday and already have value, I don't see why it would take 5 years to sell out all LLLL.net?

Especially if people start protecting their LLLL.com investment by taking the .net for a pair (like I recently did).

As for LLLL.com and it being artificially inflated, I think enough has been said by everyone and like Reece / Lorenzo / Rich etc, I'll let the numbers speak for themselves.

We have a really old saying in India - which translates to - "For the wise even a glance is enough".

I thought the .com buyout would take at least a year... then the vacuums started and see what happened. Well they've started on this too. Anything that is posted as available is gone in 24 hours or less...

Its a matter of opinion really, and putting your money where your mouth is, which most people seem to be doing.

- 1.5 years ago there were 60-70K available LLLL.com's
- now there are over 200K available LLLL.net's
- .net is not .com

Yeah, I don't see a buy today sell tomorrow scenario, a larger part of my purchases is for two years minimum.

About 25% I bought for a six-month flip and i can sell some today for $20 ea. (I bought oeyh.net for $20, coz I wanted to pair up my LLLL.com).

I didn't initially believe in .net being viable, but just following the money is the best way forward in this business, which domains I buy and why are entirely upto me, no amount of 'hype' can make me spend a dollar, if I don't see the ROI potential.

FWIW, CNN had already been using the term for a segment of viewer-contributed news stories and commentary (http://www.cnn.com/exchange/ ). They really wanted to brand on THAT name - type in traffic or length of the name was a moot point.

When it comes to judging the desirability of a name, the typical end user just doesn't use the same criteria as many domainers. And imo, that's the weak link in the LLLL market.

Domainers may eventually become endusers in their own right...

I bought a quad premium LLLL.com for $1800 USD (not CVCV/VCVC, a dictionary word, etc) because I had a particular project in mind for that particular name...

I'm sure I'm not the only domainer here who has plans to develop some of his registrations/purchases... We see the same thing with LL.coms and LLL.coms...

There are plenty of options out there for most double and triple premiums, not to mention single and anti-premiums in other countries (with different languages).

I am preparing one, but the stupid client where I am working today won't let me run my scan software.... bah...

In a few hours I'll put hands on my server and update both the VCVC and CVCV.

and has anyone got a list?
I think there are few left but majority of them would be CVVV or even VVVV. I did a scan few days ago and really didn't find a good CVCV.net. I may have missed few but just my observation.

what do u think are more valuable? CVCV (with "y") or pure VCVC ?

just to test the present state of the market i am selling one of my vcvc.net domain on ebay and lets see how it goes.

I prefer VCVC without an Y to CVCV with an Y, in any case I think it depends pretty much on the rest of the letters...

Yoga is a very good exception on the VCVC area... in the case of CVCV... ermmmm.... BABY

For end users, it's not just a matter of letter quality; it's mostly about being able to easily pronounce the name when reading it. When we see a short brandable name that we like, we sometimes become biased towards then name; we rationalize our desire for hearing the name the right way. Then we tend to mentally squeeze that square peg into the round hole; just to make everything work.

If the name looks good, and also sounds good to yourself and others, then you're in pretty good shape. If you have to fully support your buying argument with letter quality alone, then you're fighting the natural flow that you were actually looking for.

Don't ask someone who dislikes the fact that you spend so much time domaining, everything you buy to them will be dumb. Your best VCVC's and CVCV's will roll off the tongues of everyone who sees them.
