I can confirm it is NOT true.

Regs have been steady around a couple hundred a day ever since the premium buyout where there were about 20k taken in a 10 day period.

I got the same comment on my blog
From the stats I see posted around only 6K LLLL.net's were registered in last month, so doesn't look real.

Yes, I really didn't believe it, unless it happened overnight, in any case...

**At 6k per month we're going towards 33 months, even though I expect end of 2009 for the buyout**

Yeah as I posted above its definitely not true.

Apparently just someone trying to hype them up. I'm sure if that many were ever really bought more people would be talking about it than an anonymous guy posting blog comments.

To clear that:

- Its not hype
- Its just mistake

I receive avaible lists from Tristan, and during transfer there was some error,
so only ~ 150000 of them were transfered.
(I will look today evening where error was)
So 'anonymous' guy is not guilty, he only gave what he found on my site.
My error ... sorry

Also just scanned all CVCV.
Now remain available 238 (almost all with 'Q' and all with one or two 'Y').
I took last double premium (without 'Q') SYXO.net.

You can look its on my site.

Am in the process of running another scan (not ready yet)... unless the 56k are from q onwards, I doubt this is true Nah, zoki has put up an explanation - good to get that one sorted out.

EDIT: My internet's playing up loads, so the scan for (at least today) is off; sorry all.

To tell the truth, I would not be at all surprised to see something like this actually happen. It would be a shrewd move for a domain investor w/deep pockets. Buy up the next best 50K available ~ or maybe the best 30K and then another 1K a week for 20 weeks or so to seriously prime the pump of the LLLL.net buyout. This would likely do 2 things: 1) start a feeding frenzy in the LLLL.net market, radically expediting the buyout, and 2) raise the value of LLLL.nets both before and (of course) after the buyout. The value would go up simply as a function of less supply and greater demand ~ not to mention all the hype such a development would produce.
????: NamePros.com http://www.namepros.com/showthread.php?t=403871

A $250K investment could very plausibly be doubled (at least) in under a year.

It wouldn't take but $250k to register 50k .net's. That isn't that much money, nobody comment on that... it really isn't.

You could buyout LLLL.net with a million bucks.

I hate doing math. It creates urgency and makes me buy more.

I am going to talk to a couple of real estate investors I know. See if they have any want to get in when I throw a couple figures out there.

That is exactly the point, anyone with some spare cash (to be honest a million bucks is what some guys spend on a good weekend) could easily buy all those out and resell for double or triple price in 3 months...

Anyone? Warren Buffet? Are you listening to me?

Buyouts don't usually stay at the same rate. As we saw with premium LLLL.nets, it started going a lot faster towards the end. As we get closer to the LLLL.net buyout I think we will see that they will start going faster.
