Free/Low cost Website design software?
I'm looking for a simple drag & drop website creation software. Any suggestions?
I'm not looking for any software that is tied to hosting, standalone only.
thanks in advance

According to me Dreamweaver is nice.
But still with drag and drop there are limitations and the real flexibility and power only comes by scripting.
Thanks.

Thanks -Nick- I'm just looking for a simple webpage creator much like some of the ones that are tied to various hosts, since I already have a hosting company, I'm just looking for something to quickly build vanilla pages.

Most people seem to use Wordpress and then just delete the bits you dont need.
Since there are many free templates around for it, it's not a bad solution.
Alternatively, pick a template design from
http://www.oswd.org/ and FTP it to your server, would take you 5 minutes.

Yes. I would like to suggest NVu. Its free and can do most of the job. Dreamweaver is very costly.

Tufat has an easy site builder.
Implemented it for a client who wanted to DIY but had zero knowledge of code...
He's still using it!

NVU is what I would recommend too for free. Otherwise if you want to pony up the cash, dreamweaver by far
