Or if they are going to suspend your account they will let you know you will not be receiving your money around payment time. They say it is YOUR responsibilty to track your clicks... which I kind of think is a little strange
Invalid clicks are clicks generated by prohibited methods. Examples of invalid clicks may include repeated manual clicking or the use of robots, automated clicking tools, or other deceptive software. Invalid clicks are sometimes intended to artificially and/or maliciously drive up an advertiser's clicks and or a publisher's earnings. Sources of invalid clicks may include:
* Manual clicks intended to increase your advertising costs or to increase profits for website owners hosting your ads.
* Clicks by automated tools, robots, or other deceptive software.
We closely monitor these and other scenarios to help protect advertisers from receiving invalid clicks.
If they believe YOU the webmaster is behind the invalid clicks they will take action - such as buying traffic from known shady dealers etc. If they see it's just a lost bot, an idiot trying to get you turfed etc they will usually just roll back the clicks/rev without saying anything.
I saw not long ago in my own account - 2 impressions - 50 clicks on one unit. By the next day it was reversed.
I also have a client that was clicking his own ads to try to find competitors so he could edit them out through the adsense control panel - anyways they just deducted the earnings but left all the clicks there - about two dozen of them. After three days they finally sent him an email telling him about the preview tool.
Amazing. I do not buy traffic of that sort. but i noticed once 20 clicks in so low impressions, but they were not counting revenue. do you think that Google new policy is to fix invalid clicks before payment date?
They might fix it in your account... what happens to it after that no one knows... http://www.imediaconnection.com/content/9746.asp Just do a search in google for google click fraud settlement
