Sites for Sale Guidelines -- READ BEFORE POSTING The Websites For Sale section at NamePros is designed to help you sell your website to other webmasters. This guide is here to help you maximize the potential of selling your website here at NamePros. Tips for selling your website Always include a detailed description of your website. Include the reason why you are selling, how the site was established, and any major events in the sites history (I.E noticed in a newspaper or won an award). By providing this information, it gives potential buyers an overview of the websites history. Provide a link to the site. This makes it easier for the buyer to quickly view the site, without having to copy and paste the link. If you don't want to link directly to your site, use a URL redirection service such as TinyURL.com. Include all traffic and revenue statistics for at least 3 months in screenshot or direct link form. This allows the buyers to see the kind of traffic they should expect and increase the buying possibilities by providing income proof. You can use the attachment system here at NamePros to host the images, or a free image host such as ImageShack.us. Never insert the full images into the post. Instead, link to them or post a thumbnail with a link. When posting AdSense reports you must hide the Clicks, Page CTR and Page eCPM information. This is a requirement from Google. By using the above as a guide, you will increase the chances of a sale, and reduce the need for potential buyers to have to ask for information that you have not posted. Websites for Sale Rules The following rules are effective throughout the Websites for Sale forums. Please note that the NamePros global forum rules still apply. Do not post a reserve price. This is a forum and there is no way of ensuring that the reserve is not altered after the auction has begun. If you don't wish to sell below a certain price, then set the starting bid to that price. Do not bump threads within a 24 hour period of your last post. We do allow bumping, but it MUST be after a 24 hour period has passed. All threads must have an end date/time. This is to prevent them lasting for ages with little or no activity. An alternate method is to say the sale will end in X hours after the last bid. 48 hours is a recommended time to allow. Thread Requirements The following information MUST be included in your sales thread, as per the NamePros Marketplace terms of use.
