Unrealistic? I was looking at some of these prices determining whether I wanted to sell there or not and darn-o.. Crazy prices. Is it more for exposure or what??

Thanks for any input.

Cheers!

He lists it to get noticed, not to sell it for that, he will accept offers, it's what most people do on there.

I thought about bringing exposure to a .co I recently regged. I wonder what my outcome would be?

It's always been that way. For many sellers listing domains at super-high prices, eBay is akin to playing a lottery ticket with hopes of hitting the big one.

For buyers, occasionally real bargains can be found on eBay. And for sellers, it's a decent, though not great, place to sell low-value domains, and to promote other domains / get sales leads.

I love all the ones listed as "PREMIUM" what a joke! I'm sure you can find some nice names on eBay, i have found a few. And once in a while i will sell one on there but i never get over $XX. Over all im not a big fan of eBay for domain names.

It used to be a great place to sell/expose your names because there was a challenge behind it, I think..

It's not a horrible place to shop for names, I agree though, There are a couple of sellers who are out of their mind with their pricing.

Agreed. It got so ridiculous at one point that I stopped looking at eBay. Although, I did find a good bargain or two, at times.

Dude, it's a crazy name .. The only people I see bidding is some kid giddy after jacking mom and pop's credit card and trying to score something worth memorable on EBay. The used underwear ain't doing it anymore.

if you look past lots of the junk I have found many gems on ebay in the past

I think some sellers use Ebay as cheap advertising for their domain. You post an auction for a domain for $500,000, people look out of curiosity. They might even go to the webpage to check it out. They might also navigate to your other auctions where you have legitimate domains listed for realistic prices.

There really is no chance it will sell at that price but it will get views and visibility for very little cost.
