Finding the font...?

How does one find the font used on an image? (I want to remove the 'East Bank' from my psd linked below and add something else there but I don't know what the font is)

If the image was clear enough this website would tell you the font.
http://www.myfonts.com/WhatTheFont/

The psd you have is not the original one. You have probably used a jpeg as source. From an older topic of yours, I understand that you are trying to do it yourself with photoshop.

Even if you change the text, the logo will not be sharp enough. This logo needs to be redesigned. I will do it for you for free!

Edit:
Here is your logo. Let me know what text you want. I will send you a layered psd file containing vector graphics. You can scale it up to any size (e.g. t-shirt size or poster size) without loss of of quality.

I have used an alternative font to the black text. The white text was easy to find.

Hi

I think your right about the psd not being the original and I'm sure I did just use a jpg/gif source of it.

Could you make the '2005' slightly bigger and have it curved slightly - this is our logo which is on merchandise so want to keep it as samey as possible.
Also the text on the top should read EAST BANK not WEST BANK as you have it now.
Could you just leave the top area of it blank and let me know the font used?

Thanks very much!

Hello Martin,

The font I'm using for the black text is this one:
http://www.dafont.com/shadowed-serif.font

As you see I clean up this font before using it. This is what I do:

I'm using adobe illustrator. First I convert the font to shapes and then clean it up. I believe photoshop can do the same.

Just a quick sidenote:
The font for RBA is called 'army' and can be found here.
http://www.dafont.com/army.font?psize=l&text=RBA

I tried to make the 2005 look more smillar. This is how it looks right now:

Here is the PSD of that image:
http://www.psdnow.com/download/file/JCDYQ4lB22/

If it is not top secret, pm me the text that should replace eastbank and I will do it for you.

Of course it would be much better if you can find the person who designed it in 2005 and ask him what font he used. Cheers.

Hey Marcello,

Sorry not been on for a while.

Any chance you could change the text at the top to say 'EASTBANK' rather than 'WESTBANK' (not sure where you got that from:P)

Hello Martin,

I thought you wanted to replace eastbank with some other text. I was only demonstrating you that we could now change it.

Here is your new psd file. You can create images at any size with this psd.

Here is the adobe illustrator file. This will be much better than the psd in case alterations are needed in the future.

This is a vector logo. It can be scaled up unlimitedly to any bigger size without a loss of quality. If you want any other text or if you find the original font, let me know. It takes only a few minutes to alter it. Bye.
