Yes, I consider YZUQ.com as a low grade VCVC.com

Medium Grade VCVC.com should be in the $35+ range

I had noticed this. Not really sure why.

What about if the double letter is in the middle of the name? Does that still attract a similar interest?

I think if the one pair LLLL.com is to be split into sub-categories, it would be ideal if you could split it into consecutive and non-consecutive one pair LLLL.com domains. However, the demand has to justify that these sub-categories should exist.

I put them in the low grade VCVC.com category that I valued at reg fee. I wouldn't be too concerned about this. Low grade CVCV.com (e.g. HUQY.com) were available in January for regfee but now almost all are backordered. I expect most low grade VCVC.com to be backordered sometime in the next 12 months pushing your value up past $60 very quickly.

I think if the one pair LLLL.com is to be split into sub-categories, it would be ideal if you could split it into consecutive and non-consecutive one pair LLLL.com domains. However, the demand has to justify that these sub-categories should exist.

(e.g.
Consecutive - HHQZ.com, QHHZ.com & QZHH.com
Non-Consecutive - HQZH.com,HQHZ.com & QHZH.com).
With otherwise lower quality domains (such as those in your example), I have only observed this trend where the double letter is at the start or end:

HHQZ.com and QZHH.com would sell for low $xx. I have seen domains of similar quality advertised for more but seldom seen them sold for more than $25.

There are no available to register domains that fit this model. Any drops are quickly picked up (some by me). Whenever a commodity is scarce, it generally increases the demand and therefore the price. The same thing happened with VCVC domains and LLLL.com names starting with A.

Lower quality domains with double letters in the center, e.g. QHHZ.COM are only worth reg. fee at the moment IMO. I have not seen any $xx sales. This may be because the last remaining names that fit this model were only bought out very recently. Indeed, some may still be available to register.

Lower quality domains with non-consecutive letters are worth reg. fee IMO. Again, I have not seen any $xx sales.

I class lower quality domains as those with more than one of QXYZ that are not pronounceable or particularly memorable and have few Google search results and limited acronym value.

Matt.

What do you think about the values of tripple letter LLLL's? Like YYYb.com?
Most of them were registered over 3 years ago

They are in fact more rare than cvcv.com

Let's look at some recent SnapNames sales of similar domains (August to October 2007):

gggp.com $301
trrr.com $405
krrr.com $201
fffg.com $785
zzzr.com $201

Without analyzing your domain for metrics, I would value it at $200-$250 based on these sales as it contains three Y's.

Matt.

Rare, nice for domainers to collect. I like them, but to be honest for endusers these are best imo:

CVCV or VCVC for web 2.0 startups

or

L-L-L for small-medium Business acronyms. Standard businesses with 3 L

nb: i saw LLLW.com on sedo other day
Was bidding on as really liked, but it went pretty cheap as felt seller may have shilled it. may be wrong, in which case i missed out

Here is a live auction at snap for a LLLL that starts with an X, I don't really like it too much but with 1 hour left its at $64.

xulg.com Live Auction 1h 9m $64.00

Final price was $64.

Also did anyone see the one at tdnam right now Ibob? Will be interesting to see final price on that one.

Keep an eye on TDNAM.com where:

iBob.com is in the last 10 hours with higher Bid just above $500 , that`s a great one.

Check their ending prices and their poor quality.

Does anyone know how much iBOB.com went for at TDNAM?

Ebay is good place to buy, but not to sell. There's many of good LLLL.com sold under $10.

Ok I need your advice guys

I have a big bunch of good cvcv and vcvc names (most with only one lower quality letter) and trying to decide if I should put them on sedo now, or later..
Do you think in 2-3 months these names will be selling for considerably more, or now is a good time to load them off?

I don't know about CVCV's, but I am sure VCVC's will still gather in value. VCVC's are also pronounceable, and were overshadowed by CVCV's.

But frankly I don't know if you should put them for sale now or later.

The LLLL.com aftermarket is not mature yet. It is just starting to take off NOW.
????: NamePros.com http://www.namepros.com/showthread.php?t=378968

I expect to see nice things within 3-4 months and I will not be surprised to see hight 4 figures or low 4 figures for Premium CVCV.

The more and more internet users and internet companies arrive in the net , the more these will go up.

I think it`s really no question what to do. Unless of course you are forced to sell for other reasons.

Totally agree. These suckers have just started to sprout, they've been in hibernation for a long time, ignored.
I personally would wait and see. Don't sell in the coming year is my advice, just buy.

I'm going to wait another 4 months, but I may do some auctions to test the waters soon. I'm thinking about putting an auction up on e-bay for one of my nice VCVC's just to see what kind of bids it pulls in. I let you guys know when I set it up, maybe the middle of next month.

I would wait as long as I could before selling; it's only going to get better now that the 10K barrier has been broken. I just put all my LLLL's regged up until 2009, and the rest of my names I've put till next year. I'm guessing next summer is going to be super crazy with the expectation of a new president.

If Democrat, we're all be laughing to the bank; If Republican, we'll have to wait and see.
