KingDon, i never compared mobi's (not invested) with llll.com's (invested), i just compared the hype which was and is the same. The VCVC's and CVCV's are growing rapidly yes, but i would be really surprised if the bad letter llll.com's hit over 20$ resale value next year (positively though, as it affects my sales as well obviously).

hi tetrapak - I'm not expecting the bottom of the barrel to go up that much, but I think it's a safe bet that they'll be above $20 a year from now (I'm guessing 90% chance minimum will be over $20 and 50% chance minimum price for something like XVZQ will be $40 or more). But your guess is as good as mine at this point - that's what makes a market, I guess ...

Put it this way I was just on ebay Thailand Time, and I was bidding just for the fun of it WXOI.COM and at the last 10 minutes of the auction the highest bidder was $9.50 than i made a few bidds to be ahead at $12 and i just sat there waiting till the last 1 minute and started bidding 50c incriments every second and I was ahead at about $12-$15 and than it went all the way up to $18.50 and in the last 3 seconds i thought stuff this and I put in $22 but the hit button didnt load through in the last milisecond, so he won it at that price.

Quite fun though it was! but I guess it shows you that if the bear minimum of X W Q names are going at this price now than they will deffinately onl go up from here.

I wouldn't think of WXOI as bare minimum name. Aesthetically it is 'clean' looking and has some pronounceability. I think $22 is cheap now for this name. Also save yourself some heartache and invest in a sniper. I use auctionstealer.com More expensive than some others but a good interface. Note: the free sign up gives you 3 free snipes per week.

I think we're realistically looking at $25 min wholesale come renewal time on these last LLLL.coms. Worst case scenario, $20 imho (which is still about $13 more than reg fees if you bought them with a bulk discount).

For me, 1550 regs x $13 > $20,000.. Those who invested big will reap the benefits, even if LLLL's don't go up all that much in value.

I am very curious if Reece (or others who invested heavily into LLLL's) will get some end user sales till the renewal time. These are worse combos, and I wonder if they get end user attention or not. Because basically end user sales can drive up reseller prices.

I think Reece has very good LLLL portfolio with 3 premium letters in most domain names, and thats what is selling in the market now. 3 premium and one low quality letters and hardly I see all premium letter domains. One thing I have noticed recently that mostly new domainers on forums have stopped putting their money in keyword domains for a while and instead running after LLLL domains.

if you follow the auctions for LLLL both at TDNAM AND Snap, you will notice how the LLLL price level is considerably higher then before the sell out.
Basically all the LLLL including the one with lower quality letters are taken before dropping. The obvious conclusion is that LLLL are getting hotter and hotter and the overall level of prices will benefit.
I personally think that the large owners of LLLL have their money in a very safe vault.
Good times are ahead!

My guess is that when the last (and collectively worst) 10,000 LLLL.com's that were registered over the last few months come up for renewal, there will be a wave of sale listings for these names.
Most will not find end-users or speculators, and the additional $7 or $8 for renewal will bite into any margin that many of these buyers were hoping for.
A $13-$15 profit, looks much better than a $6-$8 profit.
There are plenty of these poor names out there and plenty of impatient holders of these names.
Prices will fall for these lower-end names, which are more like commodities than higher-end, brandable names.
I know the comparison has been made to the poor LLL.com's, but to me the difference in quality and quantity is completely different.
Next year will give us an idea of how things hold up.

O course we are speculating on the future. But cant see why bzx should be so much better then bzxa. BZX in this case has the same brandability of BZXA. In terms of quality obviously there is a big gap but not in terms of brandability. I am receiving lately a decent amount of visitors on vfzy or qgor because people is LOOKING at LLLL as an affordable (at least now) investment. At a minimum price of 5K for BZX doesn t correspond a 20$ price for BZXA.The internet users numbers is growing and so do companies in other parts of the world (eg China and India) where what we call "non premium letters" are actually premium. May take maybe a while (2-3 years) but by my point of view the investment on LLLL is a safe bet.
My opinion as domainer doesn t count that much because i am a rookie, but having a background in business and economics can give my 2 cents on any market. Any other analysis is more then welcome because alternative ideas, opinions and even provocation can enlarge and foster knowledge.

I registered about 1000 of the last 10,000 (though, most were around the 7k-10k remaining mark) names.. Mine won't be for sale (other than at enduser pricing) I have no idea if other people will be as patient as me (realistically expecting to wait 4-5 years to get the $250/per price I'd like). Many of the last 10k aren't really that much worse than prior regs.. I regged about 500 triple premium + Q just around then.. Is MQGI.COM or EAQG.COM in example, necessarily a worse reg than DZBD.COM?

I personally hate the letter J much more than Q - maybe that's just me ;-) but triple premium + J are easily fetching $30+ in most sales I see..

Agreed. It's that very logic that eventually motivated me to get into LLLL.coms.

I think the problem in judge premium or not premium letter is in the knowledge of every language. Some bad letter can be good in a specific language and not so good in other language. Just my 2c

Another LLLL.com milestone has been reached. We are five days from the buyout and there has been no large scale dumping of names for a delete refund.

It appears that investors are happy with their purchases and are happy to hold their acquisitions, whether it be for the short, medium or long term.

There have been very few drops (I know because I'm scanning regularly for them), and any drops have been scooped up quickly (some by me). Prices have increased already.

Very good news for all LLLL.com investors IMO.

Matt.

Looking through my first few names...

http://www.eaqg.org (was regged after I took the .com)

Maybe I should approach them

or how about MQGI.com... The Movement for Quality Government in Israel (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Movemen...ment_in_Israel )...
????: NamePros.com http://www.namepros.com/showthread.php?t=378968

I figure I probably have about 100 well-financed endusers for my names... Shouldn't be too hard to get a decent X,XXX sale or two
