well, if i look into Help>About Flash, it says Flash MX version 6.
But anyway, i don't think that has any relevance, its one of the latest version. I just don't understand why I can't get the file to open.

Any idea anyone?

is it a legal version of flash mx or did you download it somewhere? Your saying it usually owrks ifne which is confusing me. Maybe you sent it to someone so they could do work for you? If you did, make sure they save it as a flash mx file and not a flash mx 2004 or 04 pro file

its alright guys. I didnt have the Flash 2004 Pro. Works fine now.
When I said it usually worked fine, I meant fla files open normally in the past. Didnt realise there were different versions.

And, they are legal versions!

Cheers for your help,
Patrick

its pretty easy to learn, for the easy stuff. But you can do some amazing things, and I'm not talking animation. Way back in Flash 5 I think, some company made an all Flash bank. It was tight, and that was like 2-3 years ago to. It has come a longgggggggggg way.
