Has there been less voting by experts these days? I am finding it harder to get domaisn sent to auction.

I also find that domains which are about to have their 30 days finished suddenly getting many votes. Anybody else have this experience?

I have noticed that as well. I always tried to vote on a few dozen domains per day, but with the promoted use of Bido credits recently, a lot of domains are accelerated to auction instead of being voted. I submitted 10 domains for voting today, that should make it to auction, but I am tempted to use my credits instead.

Is there something wrong with Bido right now? The "Closed" tab has not been updated in days. The last auction to be listed there ended Nov 14, 12:32 am. Normally, auctions are added to this section as soon as they end. In the "Upcoming Auctions" tab, it shows that starting next Wednesday, the number of daily auctions seems to inexplicably plummet. This seems strange to me. I would think that if Bido was receiving less business, the impact would be more gradual. Have there been other auctions created that are not being displayed? It seems like there is some sort of a glitch. I would like to know what is going on before I start any more auctions.

Just to clarify, all Bido members may vote, not just Experts. However in regards to your core question, we are introducing something soon to attract more people to the Vote tab. In regards to why you may see domains near their end of their 30 day stretch get votes, remember that you can sort the columns - so if you sort by days remaining, you can quickly see items that would take longer to see in another view.
Also we encourage you to download the CSV of items in the Vote tab and perhaps scan them that way, in order to locate items of interest. Also remember that you can place bids on items that are up for voting. Hope the various pieces of info help. Best regards

I have a problem and I´m wondering if someone noticed the same issue with the Bido Newsletter with Thunderbird. Maybe its only a setting thing but I don´t have this issues with other Newsletter e.g. Rick Latona. At the top of the Bido Newletter is the complete message in html. How do I get rid of this ?

I really like bido but its a bit nerve wracking listing domains sometimes

Had a good few offers for this one but I'm taking a chance with it ~ thats the name of the game I guess

I'm not sure that Bido is suffering from a lack of feedback. If anything I would expect you to be overwhelmed in the last 6 months with all the feedback being given in this thread, in comments to Sahar's blog, in the subject of other blog posts etc.

Bido is currently suffering from a lack of buyers. That may change due to the Snapnames fiasco as more domainers seek alternatives, or it may not.

Anyway I've said it before, Bido needs to be proactive in sourcing buyers from outside the domain industry. There are some pretty good bargains for small businesses to find.

Bidding Question.

Hello,

Easy question:

Sometimes I see only two bids/bidders when an auction is over and for the sake of my question, lets say the winning bid was $130.00.

The first bid was $28.00
The winning bid or bid #2 was $130.00

Now, did the winning bidder place his "best offer" at $130.00, thinking that his next bid would be $33 ($5 increments)...but instead the auction jumped up to $130..his/her max??

This happened to me a few months ago...it was my 1st auction at Bido, I entered my max bid and auction had one other bidder and I won at my max. I didn't have time to stay at keyword and keep bidding, I left my max...thinking it would go up incrementally.

For me it was part of learning curve, so I just pay to learn. Namejet does it the same way. Good deal for seller but I was wondering about other folks??

I see numerous auctions with only two bids and see high ending number. I look at bid history and see two bids...example: $28 & $130.

Looking for clarification.

I am experiencing a repeated problem in which the tags I am placing in the DNS (or address field) are not being detected by Bido. This is resulting in the submissions not being properly verified.

Is anyone else having this issue? Is it a known issue? Thanks.

Yes. I have also had this issue- about 20% of all submissions. I have had some success contacting customer service and asking that it be added manually.
