Righto, that is the basic compliance ... hopefully they will come here soon to further clarify on the Ready.mobi score and coding requirements expectations, as well as standards (or levels of discretion) as to which "sites" are taken down and which remain up and "in good standing" IMHO.

Agreed. "Basic compliance" is an absolute joke... Surely someone couldn't have a multi-megabyte homepage on the .mobi extension?

I don't know ... mtld is a joke, basic compliance is a joke, their rfp is a joke, their whole marketing strategies are a joke.... Weird.., why some just keep wasting their time and energy complaining and ridiculing about something they just don't like, or believe in their abilities to make happen, but keep buying their products and saying they are a supporter of that product. And should that product become successful in the big marketplace, will come a proudly touting how they were an early supporter of it all along.

The made a .mobi site. They've promoted it on their site. It got some press on ABC and USA Today, and the site works fine. On to the next topic please. You can continue your spin there.

I'm sure there is more than this small blurp on USA Today™ ...

Exactly.

Just my two sense.

You don't think it's that deep? Really Jeff, what's it going to take for you to understand that major corps are choosing to brand their mobile sites with the .mobi extension?

If Zagat isn't "in deep" with .mobi at this point, I've got a nice bridge to sell you Jeff.

No, after only 11 months not everyone is promoting their .mobi, surprise surprise. This is great news of yet another promoted .mobi, and you bring attention to google and comcast, I just don't understand that.

Nope, Comcast.mobi doesn't resolve though they do own it. How dare they not put up a mobi site now, and leave that one poor 'need to convince, and convince, and convince me'er' ... unconvinced!!!!

Please do tell us how many companies strategies and inner workings you know of and about!!! There must hundreds of companies, with products other than .mobi, that are sharing their strategies with you so you will be satisfied to believe they are serious in their endeavors.

I was simply replying to your, "what's it going to take for you to understand that major corps are choosing to brand their mobile sites with the .mobi extension" question. Some major corporations, including backers of the .MOBI, clearly are not IMHO.

Clearly, nothing will ever please you enough in the world of .mobi news for you to admit that major advances are being made, and certainly not without you feeling the need to insinuate that this might only be something that's a defensive move, that it might be a short-lived experiment, that someone must be paying someone else off, that someone had to have someone on the inside to get that newspaper article written, that we all might be delusional and imagining the whole thing...

All I know is that there's a very good reason that this forum will never again be the #1 place for serious .mobi discussion. And that's YOU.

Oh, but "no worries, let's move along..."
