Well at least they will get in the hands of someone. Better than a blank page, IMHO. Hopefully most of them will end up being developed.

Yeah, the success rate of placing .MOBI's from the past Traffic Shows into the hands of these End users/developers is, I believe, ZERO IMHO.

This cannot happen this time around, as I understand it ... as acquirers will need to be ELIGIBLE BUYERS!

I think the bottom line is that an "eligible buyer" for ANY domain name is one who has the cash and follows through on their promise to pay. Anything else such a developed website is a bonus. Take a look at the dot com/net/anything - websites, parked pages, blank pages, all are commonplace for ALL extensions. No matter how much one complains, every single nice domain name WILL NOT become a fully functional useful website in ANY extension. Period.

People are making way too much out of the premium reserved names. As commented many times and in many place since Sept 2006, many names on that list are NOT real "premium" names. Just look at the thousands and thousands of names registered by .mobi domainers during pre-reg and land rush and you will see the vast number of good and great .mobi names .. all in private hands. Many of them you have not seen posted in this forum or elsewhere. Whenever you do a Whois search on a particular niche you'll find them one at a time. Some of them show the registrant as "mtld premium name", many many, many do not. It's the few "hot" terms that people focus on all too much. It is just another example of the inherent domainers' myopia.

Strongly disagree ... in fact, Neil - specific to .MOBI domains - has stated it much differently IMHO.
