Question How do you start from the scratch with AdSense?

Hello, can you give me an opinion on websites like this one:

http://www.gmoneypro.com/adsense-index.htm

I always thought it was all crap and I never had time to develop my domains but I`d like to try now.

Now, I don`t even know where to signup for AdSense but I`m tired to see people getting $$$$ and my wife tells me that it`s all BS because I don`t get that money.

What is true and what is fake about AdSense, can anyone tell me?

Thank you in advance,

Best regards

Almost all of those websites are the same Ebook repackaged, and they are completely useless. Don't waste your money on them, you can find the same information on the internet for free. It'll just be simple information about monetization and what clicks earn the most money.

https://www.google.com/adsense/
Signup is there just fill in as instructed nice and easy. Youll need to build sites onto the domains you cant just havea parking page.

What id suggest is just go look a round this forum and earnersforum.com I seem to remeber being quite good, just search the internet and read as much as you can, do NOT pay for anything such as that link.

Adsense is easy to make money from, it just takes time

I agree, it just takes time. I have been using adsense for about 6 weeks now, and I'm just now starting to see daily clicks. As far as needing a site, you do, but if you haven't developed yet, you can use 1plus.net which provides you with relevant content that is acceptable to Google. It's a great way to start getting some revenue and to build SEO.

Lorenzo,

Here is a guide that can help you understand more on your "How To" question.

You can also use the Google Custom Search Engine so you have your own search engine that will display your Adsense ads instead of a parking solution.

You can go the arbitrage route or the organic search route, it all depnds what is in your capabilities.
The arbitrage route requires funds to get started, the organic search route requires SEO knowledge and for simple keywords you don't need to be a professional SEO'r to obtain some SERP's that drives the traffic to your pages.

And don't BUY stupid ebooks!

The e-books are crap. They're just making money off of people's false hopes.

Adsense is a great way to monetize sites with content. It's so simple to use and Google technology guarantees the best, most relevant ads. It's worth displaying some Adsense on every site you own.

However, be warned: it's not easy to make real money with Adsense. As mentioned above, it takes time and often a lot of work. And in the end, you can never be sure whether you project's gonna take off or not.

Developing minisites with adsense can easily fund a domain's own renewal costs, as long as you make about $1 a month, and with adsense that's not hard to do. All you need is some relevant content and some links from other sites with traffic. Content you can write or buy, as mentioned above. I've used getcontent.com and they're good enough for minisites (example: http://www.distancelearningmba.org). Considering their cost you need to make about $30 in the first year to break even. Not too hard. If your domain is any good, you'll make enough to fund a few other domain purchases as well.

Making real money with adsense is a different matter. I have one site that I've developed for 3 years and now it's making about $400 per month. It's got about 600 pages of original content (written by me). That's a lot of development and work for a meager return. It's not easy to find Adsense gold. My other sites are bringing far less than that. The good thing is, and here's the beauty, the revenue keeps rolling in day and nite even if you quit updating the site. If the site is properly SEO'd, organic traffic will be coming in long after you have moved on to different projects.

Adsense is strictly for content-rich sites. Clickthroughs are great with targeted, quality content, but it's not much good for web tools and other sites without much textual content. For instance, on my EstiBot I rarely ever get any clicks. The click-through rate on my content-rich site is high, but on EstiBot it's dismal. Affiliate links may be better for that type of sites.

It's definitely worth signing up and experimenting with adsense. If you already have sites with traffic and content, you're missing out by not displaying adsense ads. Almost all websites with content these days seem to display Adsense. That's why Google is so rich

Good luck
Josh

EDIT: I just read the blog mentioned in Damon's post and want to point out that I've never experimented in that sort of thing. Looks like it could work, but you'd really have to get into it. I only speak from the experience of creating original sites and relying on organic traffic.

Thanks everybody, I don`t have traffic and not even content, I just have some good keyword.

One outstanding is Golf.pk (Pakistan) that I`d like to develop, but I still have to find how to create the website too...it has been too long since I was creating simple HTML pages.

I`ll rep all people who gave me good advices here, thank you.

Don't bother trying to code a site yourself. Just install Joomla (or a similar Content Management System) onto your webspace. Professional looking website in seconds. All you need to do then is add content. With a CMS you can manage your website from anywhere you can get net access.

Another great resource is templatemonster.com. They have some really gorgeous templates that you will have full rights to excluding re-selling the template itself to someone else (you can sell it with the domain name as a site though). I have bought a template through them for a city website where I live called YourCincy.com. I am still adding content, and will put up several pages worth in the next week. You get everything you see (I changed the colors on the images, html and flash, as well as the google search which is my adsense) for about $60. It is a tremendous time-saver! And I did see some golf-themed templates on the site that were very nice (hint hint).

I will definitely buy more templates from these guys in the future, as their stuff is nice quality, and very cheap in price. There are also some other sites that sell decent templates, but after hours of searching, I would say this one is the best.

I too have decided to develop all the sites that I can. It will earn more money in ads and if I ever sell the sites, I will get far more ROI. So I think you're going down the right path Lorenzo.

They are nice templates there but $50 - $60 for each one is a bit expensive for me that I`m just starting, maybe that will be an option once I earn some money with AdWords.
But as others adviced, is it not the same to use a CMS like Joomla?

About AdWords , I still need to subscribe to the service, can you put the AdWords in the home page only or in all pages ?

Thank you!
