I clicked one my google ads

I have accidently clicked on one of my ads while looking at my site. I have a LED mouse and it jumped and I clicked by accident!.
Should I be worried ? I don't want my account to be banned.

I clicked one of my own ads last week by accident as well when the page didn't fully load and it was where the menu usually is... anyways just send them an email via your publisher account and tell them what you did, when you did it and you won't do it again. They say fine while sending you a cut and paste about not clicking your own ads and how to use the preview tool etc.

otherwise - nothing to worry about.

I've done that before and nothing happened. =D

I wouldn't worry about it. Just send them an email and they'll say it's okay and they understand accidents happen. Nothing to worry about! ;)

As stated... Send them an eMail ASAP.

Most of us have had accidental clicks, but if you inform them, it's all good.
It also sets up a condition of trust between you and them, which may well work to your advantage if you ever get click bombed or some other situation arises.

I keep them informed of just about everything I do...
honesty is the best policy although some will say otherwise.
I dont like suprises, neither does Google.
So if you are creating something new, and it will cause a spike, let them know beforehand... it will pay off in the end the extra time spent.

Peace,
Cy

I Noticed that the Google software is pretty smart at determining invalid clicks. I clicked by accident again today I was never credited for it. I know because its on a channel for a mini-site that has little traffic.. so far still says $0.00 earned.

they log your ip when you login to your adsense account, so obviously your clicks on ads will not be recorded they've got better things to do when reading your emails about every click :hehe:

good luck

lol, then thats good. I have a static IP.

I have done that about 3 times already, but each time I quickly clicked on the back button before the page load. When I checked the ad click, it wasn't altered. So if that ever happens again (and I'm sure it happens to many) maybe it does help to click on the back button asap before the page loads.

I wonder if they give the money back to the advertiser... doubt it?
