A B C D E F G H I L M N O P R S t are premium letters, but I would add to the list letter U too that seems to be more popular in the recent sales.

people, like it or not the premium letters in the industry are those cited by nullmind

the fact you consider all letters as premium wont make J, K, Q, U, V, W, X, Y and Z premiums... when you do business with somebody that knows the industry you can say your names are premium but you wont do business without being asked why you told this when it is not true according to the patterns we have nowadays

Gorilla Bob,

thank you for the nice addition to freshdrops (ebay search)! Rep added.

By the way, do you plan also to add "all premium letters" pattern in addition to "cvcv", etc?

vlad,

Yes, that was actually the reason why I wanted to know, so that we could add a scan of premium letters for everyone's benefits.

Which industry ? If i ask zoki.com owner about, whould he sell me his domain,
should i explain him -> "hey there are 2 not premium letters, i will offer you 500$ only" ?

Hmm, or should that fall into your signature -> "Never underestimate the power of stupid people in large groups"

From my understanding of premium letters vs non-premium letters. The reason why some letters are considered premium and others are not, is because the chances of the name being desirable to an end-user is higher.

We all know that the best thing to do is sell a name to an end-user. For this reason, we want names that are more likely to be sold to an end user. Buying an LLLL is like buying a lottery ticket. You dont' know if you will be able to cash in, but if you do, you'll have more luck in cashing it in if you have premium letters than non premiums, or if you have some type of neat little letter combos.
????: NamePros.com http://www.namepros.com/showthread.php?t=358387

I think this is the theory here. Probability and Likelihood.

With this in mind, the Premium scan is complete. I'd wait a few hours before trying since the scans are probably being updated and you might get an error if you do it now. The quick scan is called 'Prem 5'. Which means that it scans all domains with 5 or less characters for premium letters only. If you want to only get LLLL's then you can adjust the filter box to only have 4 characters.

Hope everyone enjoys and don't forget to vote for us on domainerschoiceawards.

Also, please email us at support@freshdrop[.]net if you wish to be notified when our premium services are launched in early 2008.

The right question in this case is:
"CVCV with all premium letters on it is better than CVCV with only two premium letter on it?" It's all relative

Hmm, domaining compared to lottery ... now i understand LLLL haters.

In every industry people try to "think out of box", make something new, find something new, only LLLL collectors make it like lemmings.

BTW. Are there any stats from your site Nullmind, that can explain that "premiums" are better sold than "non-premiums" ?

if you ask ZOKI.com owner's how much it is, do you expect to hear something like $5,000 for it?
the owner can answer it because it is his/her name but you know for this price you can buy, for instance, DIBE dot com and which would you choose just analyzing the letters?
and if you want the name and if he says such price, yes you would at least counter-offer with a lower value and you would say that your value would be a fair one as ZOKI has a "Z" and a "K"

i asume you know the difference between premium letters and CVCV and i wont explain it here
thats why i said we must explain things as they are and not as we would like they were

Using "premium" term is not explaining things as they are, its "explaining things how do you see it" and thats difference.

zoki, it wasnt me that set this "premium" definition...
????: NamePros.com http://www.namepros.com/showthread.php?t=358387
if you ask many people there are some that consider "U" a premium letter, other say "Z" is a good one, bla, bla, bla

read some threads before this LLLL.com thing and you will see that premium definition was set well before and the premium ones are those nullmind cited in his post

there is an explanation here in NP about these "premium" definition but i dont remeber where it is, otherwise i would put the link here

yes, zoki lets not hijack this thread

believe me, i really agree with you about this thing of not thinking in "the box" as i have posted about, as filter (a member) says, anti-premium names and i think theres a market for all kind of LLLL.com (from FAMO dot com to QWXZ dot com -> and maybe this one is developed)

what i meant about premium was to answer him as people say (what letters are premium), otherwise he would not know the "regular" pattern that defines what a "premium" letter is

Premium for the "english language only" would be those letters which appear the most frequently.

hopefully the 50+ "non-premium" trades I've done in the last 2 weeks but still have to find the time to list here won't skew these results too much - I haven't stopped to crunch the numbers but seems like average "non-premium" price I've been dealing with lately has been around $15, sometimes a few $ less, occasionally quite a few $$ more (in the $20 to $40 range).

Depending on the context - for acronyms, need to be sure to have accurate frequencies for the "first letter" ... And for "initialisms" often seen in names of small businesses based on the last names of partners in the firm - then want to be using "first letter of last name" frequencies, which rank differently compared to more general word lists ... For last names in the USA as reported in the 1990 census, seems like the top 5 "first letter of last name" premiums would be -> M S P C H ... and the last 5 would be -> I Z Q U X ... but your mileage may vary, take this all with a grain of salt!
