Adrenaline rush perhaps?

I bought both of them in the forums but if they were in auction it would probably cost me more than $100+ each

Auctions do get bidders stoked during the close of the auction, but maybe NP is a bad example for this, because we're running on the inside track. When I put something on e-bay, it generally gets to about half of what I can get here; an example of that would be my ~Anaz*com~.

I had an offer here at NP for $1200, and it was only bid up to around $600 on e-bay (about 2-3 months ago); that's where I pull my thoughts from. If you wait until February, you'll have no trouble getting your asking price; and I did look at what you're selling. When you buy something and then try to sell it in the same place where everyone has been buying at reg, you can't expect overnight success. Remember, it's only been a month and you're trying to sell in a place where just about everyone has had a first class seat at the fountain.

My LLLL's are a little different from everyone else's; I bought them years ago, and even then people laughed at me for wasting my money. Have patience, I'm glad I did; and it's coming.

thanks for answering my question...

hey Anotonio, your english isnt bad at all... i really understood what you said
thanks for the comment about my LLLL.com

i have been thinking about this adrenaline rush before xman and it exists... you get anxious to the end of the auction (when you have the highest bid, of course) and when you are outbid you overbid the other party without thinking how much you are paying for

Kingdon, i understood your great advice... i will close that thread right now... i sold some names as you saw and i wont let them go right now
i remeber your names, they are great ones

hi Bricio - glad I got a few of your good ones while they were still on the market. (Iyqo and Uqne now sound like names of exotic Swedish models to my ears)
????: NamePros.com http://www.namepros.com/showthread.php?t=358387

Some great perspective in these recent posts from KingDon, xman, nullmind, and Reece ... collective wisdom == good stuff.

For whatever reason (big one -> I need to raise some $$$ this month) I just put my "never before on the market" EOYZ up for a three-day eBay auction ... Hoping there will be a good bit of adrenaline flowing when it closes Sunday night! Well - check it out, if just to see my new improved non "anti-premium" sales pitch. (I did slip in a little riff about this "fine fine superfine domain name" though!)

dekd.com 340$ TDNAM - dekd.com actually means good student in Thai "Dek" (Student) "D" or "Dee" (Good). Infact www.dek-d.com is Thailand's Top 10 sites according to alexa! http://www.alexa.com/site/ds/top_sit...ntry&lang=none

I was also watching this name in TDNAM and tempted to buy this name as I also live in Thailand. I thought the possibilities of selling to them, as they could surely afford it, but I passed. Might kick myself later of the thought of the price I could sell this name to them for. I also thought of the downside aswell though, that because they have the company Dek D they could sue me instead.

How come LLLL.com is selling so cheap on Ebay? Is it worth to buy them and then flip them on Sedo or TDNAM? I see that the same seller have many LLLL.com ended at low $xx w/o any bids.

How do you auction your domain on Sedo?

just sold WXUB for $26 (eBay 3-day auction)
(that's over 10 times what I paid for it less than 3 months ago ... bought a bunch of WX--.com names way below reg fee in a fire sale on DNF - had no idea that these sorts of LLLL would actually be "on fire" so soon though!)

also have EOYZ closing on eBay tomorrow night - expecting this should get a nice price, will find out soon enough I guess
