My name is Tom Clowes, and I am in the website development business.
I am currently in the process of expanding my portfolio of domain names, which hopefully should time allow I will then go on to develop.
Your domain name buno.com stood out to me as being a great domain for branding based on its short, and simple nature.

Based on this I would be prepared to pay you $100 USD for you to transfer ownership of this domain name over to my name.
If you are interested in dealing at this offer payment can be rendered via paypal, google checkout, or nochex.

HEH! I like the balls. Find his very best domain and offer him $100 for it. You could even send him this same email reworded a little and from a different email address then the one he sent to. Then you could take his response from there and send it to him in response to this inquiry.

as thetruman already said it is clowesy... he posted here saying we were paying high prices for premium LLLL.com names and he could find these premium ones for less than $150 but he never told where he found such names because there werent many left to de bought at such price

i think now i know how he bought these names so cheap

thats probably why the previous owner didnt pay that ammount of money for this name; it is really a nice one but, if i am not wrong, almost $4,000 is too expensice for a name that lost his history

The odds are with him, that he would find someone willing to sell LLLL's cheap; and most people are to lazy to set this type of marketing campaign up. It takes work, good for him.

Exactly, and to be fair, how many of us offer 100$ for domains listed on Sedo in the hope you'll get a low offer back... I know I do and I've had luck doing this in the past!

I've had some decent success with that!

I'd do what Tom's doing if I had the time... Think about it for a sec: 11,025 CVCV's, each and every one of which is worth a whole heck of alot more than $100. What are the odds that even 0.1% of people bite? That'd be 22 CVCVs for $100 each

I preferred quickly buying 500 domains for market value and earning $xxxxx for 2 months than looking for 10-20 ignorant LLLL.com owners and buying names for cheaper and earning $xxxx for the same time.

Better odds would be with lowballing high end CVCVs like DENO.com, in example. You could send $1k offers on all CVCVs of that quality and you're lowballing big time... I'm sure a few uber-premium CVCVs are owned by non-domainers of now-defunct businesses...

Better odds would be with lowballing high end CVCVs like DENO.com, in example. You could send $1k offers on all CVCVs of that quality and you're lowballing big time... I'm sure a few uber-premium CVCVs are owned by non-domainers of now-defunct businesses...
I mainly buy by direct email now. But the emails have some ethics.

I lowball sometimes, but not offering like $1k for sex.com .

And especially when I see a parked page, I think that he is a domainer, and if I send an insulting offer, he may not even answer that email, so the odds are very low for a sale.

Besides that, I know that all CVCV's already got offers. At least I talked with many domainers who own totally more than 50 of these, and they all got already emails. I do not know about CVCY's though.

So, there are some ethics, and more research is needed to be done in an email, than just sending out a message without looking at the site, looking up the owner etc.
